CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice - West Edmonton Mall — Restaurant in West Jasper Place

Milktea from here among other things is good and has always been good but I had a bad experience today. I ordered 6 things to bring some home to family and 5 of them was the drink 3 Guys but without pearls because i find that they get a little hard once refrigerated which is normal. I leave to use the washroom but asked my friend to wait for the order while i was gone and she takes a seat. My friend then hears them talking about me as a customer and insinuated that I was stupid, she said “our customers are stupid sometimes because why would she order 3 guys without pearls when she could have just ordered 2 ladies, 3 guys is more expensive anyways.” They might have not seen my friend from behind the counter as she was sitting down so my friend then stands to let her presence be known and they fall into silence. Before I ordered I was looking at the menu for a while thinking there probably is a drink that had the topping I specifically wanted but panicked and just ordered because the lady at the till didn’t say anything to me until I met her eye. She could have easily suggested the different drink and helped me out- as i was ordering 5 of them, I understand she didn’t have to but as courtesy since she has knowledge about the menu. And looking back, some staff here generally has very little patience and are often snarky especially when its busy. Staff were good, and service was quick. They had 3 people waiting for drinks when I got there but they noticed me come in and saw me looking at the menu so they said to let them know when I was ready to order. They left me to look at the menu for the perfect amount of time. As I was looking up, the cashier was at the till and asked me what I wanted. I ordered a green tea macchiato with 30% sugar and regular ice. Paid, then went to get my drink. They made my drink so fast that I didn't even have time to finish my text! I shook my drink before I took a picture of it, but when you get the drink, it's actually a clear orange drink with about an inch of white foam on top. This is what it looks like after shaking it. This drink was pretty good since I was looking for a tea. At 30% sugar, there was just the slightest hint of sweetness which was perfect for me because I drink black tea's and coffee's. I ordered a drink for myself, it is usually served cold so I asked if it being 'warm' was an option and she said yes. I tried the drink and it was something my son would like, and it wasnt hot, just warm. I repeated the order and told the cashier it was for my seven year old son, beside me. But when he tried his, he spat it all over himself after trying it, he burned his tongue so badly! right in front of her. And I tried his and his was SO HOT. Like a hot coffee. I asked her why this one was so much hotter, she insisted both were the same temperature, but I asked her to touch my cup which was just mildly warm compared to his cup, which at the top above the sleeve was so hot you cant even hold it. She said it was my fault because I ordered a hot drink. I said I asked for it warm and did double check it when my drink (supposed to be identical, you would think) was just mildly warm.
