RPS Korean BBQ — Restaurant in West Jasper Place

This is a late review as i got pretty ill after being there for my grand daughters friends birthday.

The party room was ice cold with air conditioning blowing straight down on us, Upon many requests for heat and being told ok, we never got any.

The robot delivered food and sang happy birthday to an empty room as we all were in the play area trying to stay somewhat warm. Thus, it also made the pizza cold before we could eat it. It would have been extremely good if it was warm.

Then the cake was supposed to go into the freezer upon, yes requested, it went into the fridge so it was nice and melted before being served.

When asked at the end for compensation for such a poor experience, the owner argued, saying the issues should have been addressed earlier (our reply, you mean like they were through the whole party)

He even tried to make as though the room wasn't cold. And that things weren't bad. I, in the background, said that this is what reviews are for. Next, he said he wasn't compensating because none of it was their fault... we said, "Look at the melted, un-edible cake... that is your fault. So he offered 30.00 back. Wow, if the kids weren't hungry, I guarantee the pizza would not have been eaten. In fact, a couple of kids did not eat any. All games are unplugged and out of use, although still there, the prize counter shut down. The only thing I feel was good was the play area.

They really should have done renos to suit what they are trying to do before opening and make sure the heat system works properly.

I do not personally feel I will ever go back, which is sad because this place has the real potential...

I came here for my sons 5th Birthday, prices are great considering I had paid close to 400$ for his birthday last year at a different play place with the same amount of kids and less food. The only complaints I have is that when calling the front desk to book I don’t believe they are fully trained or aware of things so they are confused a bit. Walking in the staff at the front were pretty confused and disorganized (possibly because there was another birthday party around the same time) we had a party starting for 6pm, I had everyone there on time and were waiting in the front area for atleast 10-15 minutes before we were let in, they then let us in and didn’t show us where our room was so it was just some miscommunication.. after saying something they gave us extra time in the party room so we could get things done and I really appreciated it. And lastly the games the kids sit on aren’t bolted to the ground so they can fall over at any time while climbing out and it ended up falling over as a kid was getting out and hit my mom in the leg pretty hard. Otherwise my son had a great party and really enjoyed the way they did his decorations and the pikachu mascot they had.. I really wish I could remember the name of the birthday coach we had but she was amazing and really helped us out a lot and wasn’t pushy or anything she was great and put up with a lot. The venue is nice however, the treatment we received upon arriving after spending 300$ to book a party not so much. It was -30 outside and we were left waiting on the cold tile in the entry with our party supplies, cake and gifts. The first words out of the lady’s mouth were you can’t have those balloons in here. I said oh ok this should be disclosed upon booking because I wouldn’t have spent 30$ to fill them up. She said you would have been told and it would have been in the form you signed and proceeded to tell me next time I should read the entire thing before just signing something. Now here we are telling my 4 year old that we can’t have those balloons and they have to be put away. This incredibly rude lady says that’s a horrible to say that to a child! The unprofessional lady’s name is Natresa and she highly offended us, some manager. We were then still left waiting for a total of 15 minutes before being allowed into the facility. We had to come up to get plates, cups and cutlery. They also didn’t stamp our hands. The entire party had hand stamps with the same number. They had a white board with the birthday names there. All a person would have to do is look at the child’s name say your with the party and take any child with the same stamp. NOT OK! Very sad service from ppl who have no business...
