This restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful, the decor is gorgeous and the location is unbeatable. The problem is the service. Today we had one of my worst dinning experiences, probably of the last decade. The food took forever despite what looked like a fairly easily manageable patronage. When it finally arrived it was cold and dry. We returned it as we were hoping for a hot breakfast and instead of making it right and return it in a timely manner, we set ourselves up for an additional 45 minutes wait once again. When my friends got their food, mine was still missing. I manage to get a very nice and hot plate, but I was then left alone to eat by my friend watching. Which made me uncomfortable, and rushed, so I decided to just pick at it and head out as I could tell everyone wanted to leave. The server was a nice, wet blanket style girl that obviously had not communicated to the kitchen her table was upset, not notify the manager we had been left there waiting for what was going on well over an hour. As the messenger of our table to the establishment, I didn’t felt she really realized how unacceptable this was. She tried to justify this poor performance rather than working on an heartfelt apology and that’s what sealed the deal for me.The manager was equally nonchalant, didn’t seem to be overly apologetic which this situation would have required to be, offer an unconvincing apology and compt the whole table. At this point I would have walked out regardless and left him chase me for the bill had he had to anyways. It was too late to make it right. I was especially disappointed as I quite frequently go for drinks at the cure and happy hour après ski with my in laws family and our friends every time we come up to the chalet and I was the one that recommended we go. I find it to be truly a shame to run such a beautiful ship with a poor captain and no sea worthy crew, this place should have la crème de la crème staff as they attract a high end clientele and their price point isn’t low, so I do feel it was a great let down and I’m gonna have a hard time not chatting this up with our friend and neighbours at Alta vista, perhaps, we now need a...
Read moreOur stay at Nita Lake Lodge was elevated by the decision to opt for the breakfast-included option. From the moment we stepped into the gorgeous dining room, we were met with attentive staff, delectable food, and breathtaking views of the lake, making every morning a memorable and relaxing one.
The convenience of having breakfast right downstairs from our room, coupled with the serene vista, made for an unbeatable start to our days. During our visits between 7:00 and 8:30 each morning, we found the dining area pleasantly uncrowded, allowing us to savor our meals in peace.
Our daily order included freshly brewed drip coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The food, in particular, left a lasting impression—with generous portions that often left us unable to finish.
We indulged in a variety of dishes. From the savory Prosciutto Cotto Rosemary Ham and Fried Sage Eggs Benedict to the decadent Caramelized Banana and Nutella French Toast, every dish exceeded our expectations. Other highlights included the Mushroom Omelette, Vegan Sausage and Tofu Scramble, Blueberry Pancakes, and the signature Nita Lake Breakfast.
Personal favorites were the French Toast and the Vegan Scramble, but every dish was a symphony. The value for both the food and service was exceptional.
While we did not sample the dinner fare, our breakfast experiences alone have left us eagerly anticipating our next visit to...
Read moreLovely atmosphere for dinner, and really enjoyed the option for the tasting menu overall. $49 for an amuse bouche, appetizer, main and dessert, and as the price of an appetizer plus main was already around or above $49, it felt like a better deal. The tomato tart came with a generous amount of burrata on top, and the tomatoes were delicious. The tart itself was a little hard, as even with the use of the knife, it was very resistant to cutting through. The beef carpaccio was larger than I expected, which was great as it tasted very good! There were a few potato chips as garnish on top that were a little stale/didn’t add too much to the dish, but the actual beef was delicious, so I would highly recommend this appetizer. The ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and very juicy, and the chicken was good with a delicious mashed potato on the side. The vegetable parmigiana was also surprisingly good as well, though I forgot to take a picture of it. Dessert was a little disappointing in comparison to the previous dishes however, as the apple crumble had lots of apple but very little crumble, and the lava cake was overpowered and made a bit soggy by the espresso shot drizzled over and around. Some hits and misses, but I think other than dessert, dinner was lovely, and I would recommend coming here for dinner if you’re staying at the hotel for convenience and a...
