the food was okay, our server was not. she “tried” being nice but you could tell it was an act for tips. we’ve been to half price apps soooooo many times at different chucks. we we were in the area at the entertainment centre and thought this one would be the same? absolutely not. apparently “each server at chucks” has the authorization to tell people they can only have 2 half price apps after 9PM”? this came directly from our server. i’ve NEVER heard of this from any chucks i’ve ever been to as i order 3 things and my husband usually does the same. this server tried to tell us this has always been a thing. we’ve been going to chucks in north whitby, ajax, pickering and ptbo for years, and never once was denied this service. i would really love to know where this was stipulated, as no where have i ever read that, plus i read the bottom “fine print” for those of you wondering maybe we have all skipped over this? nope. all that is required are drink orders which my husband and i both got. after this encounter occurred, the server just got more and more short with us as the night went on. the restaurant was not busy(which was surprising but understandable now ((knowing how the staff act))cause there was a leafs game playing), and we had to ask our server every time when we would like new drinks. i get if a restaurant is really busy and they can’t keep up, totally understandable, but from what we could see, she had maybe 5 tables in total. when our food came out there was another server who helped her bring it out, i ordered a half price app that came with a sauce, i am highly allergic to blue cheese, so knowing chucks has blue cheese dipping sauce, i politely asked the other server since i truly did not want to speak to ours, what type of sauce this is. i kid you not, she looked me up and down with the most disgusted look on her face as if i should know “uh its ranch”. ma’am all you needed to do was politely respond back to me saying that same thing, without the massive amounts of attitude. reading this review you would think we may have been assholes to our server, but we truly were not. my best friend is a server and i hear the horror stories she goes through so i pride myself on being the customers servers want, to make their jobs easy. this chucks needs to have some sort of meeting with their servers because everyone (not just the two we dealt with) looks miserable and disgusted to be there. i get you’re serving on a saturday night when you’d rather be doing other things, but that is not the customers fault and just like everyone else when they go to work, try putting a face on? we will definitely not be coming back to this chucks again as it was terrible vibes and...

Well first of all my son picked this place to go to with the family and friends to celebrate his graduation which took place just hours before we went to Chuck's Roadhouse... First we all placed our drink orders and what appetizers that we wanted... When the waitress came back with the drinks my drink was not made correctly at all and I sent it back without ordering anything else in it's place... So we placed our main courses at the same time as the apps we're almost complete at this point. One had a chicken burger and fries nothing at all to even comment about... Another had a steak... Which was not cooked the way it was ordered... My son had a steak and lobster which again was not cooked the way he wanted it, his friend got a burger and fries which was nothing to brag about but wasn't bad... Then my husband had a steak and was NO way what he ordered... He was cutting it up as if he was going to eat it as any normal person would and the outside of the steak was well done and then it was raw... I said "Mike don't eat anymore your going to get sick send it back"... After telling him 3 or 4 times he finally told our waitress that it was not cooked properly and that she could take it... Then a lady manager I guess came over and was very rude to my husband and said... "Well what do you want me to do about it you ate most of it"... He proceeded to tell her no he did not eat most of it he actually was cutting it up to eat it and had only eaten maybe two or three pieces... The young lady continued to be rude... My husband was not asking to get his food free he was trying to explain to them that the food that we had gotten was garbage and because we did not like their food I guess she got upset put her back up and took it out on us being rude... She then asked him if he wanted his plate back so he could eat the other items on his plate... So he said yeah I guess so she brought out his plate and basically threw it in front of him... We own a restaurant as well, that is not anyway to treat one of your customers... I don't totally believe that the customer is always right but in this case it was not hard to see how raw his steak was... Whomever, is in charge should really have a staff meeting and start to figure things out properly before you start losing business because as of right now you have lost all of us as customers... There were 6 of us, 4 adults, 2 kids, waited at the front for someone to seat us for 10 min, no servers/hostess around, finally man in blue came over from the bar side, we followed him to the dining room side where he put 2 tables together for us and literally threw the crayons down and walked away. Said nothing. SO disrespectful. We waited at least another 10 min to be acknowledged. We ordered drinks, beer for adults and iced tea for kids and nachos for an appetizer. Asked for the wifi code and the waitress said they didn't have wifi. No wifi in Whitby? After waiting another 30 min of not getting a drink we got up to leave. Waitress came out and asked why we were leaving, I told her that this was the worst experience we've ever had, almost an hour and still no drinks. I told her that someone should have a talk with management to hire more people on staff to which she told me we could go talk to the man in blue. HA! The same man that was so rude when we first came in? Figures! So Management is terrible. Looking around, there were a lot of unhappy diners. One table waited 30 min with a table full of dirty dishes for the waitress to acknowledge they were done and clear them off and another couple almost walked out sick of waiting for their bill, until the waitress noticed them heading to the door and yelled across the restaurant she would be there with their bill. On our way out we had a table stop us and comment that they should've done what we did and just got up and left. We are from Brighton and frequent the Chucks Roadhouse in Belleville once a week. They are nothing like this Whitby location. Impeccable service and food quality. Never once have we had a bad experience in 2 years. This new location in Whitby will be closed before...
