I was told 2 minutes until my order was done, 5 minutes later I ask again and get told 5 minutes more. Iām a little personally upset that I was told a completely off time but just say nicely that Iāll skip this order and to have a good night. When I do that the cook / cashier loses his temper and starts yelling at me. I say itās okay Iām not angry even though I am just to calm the tempers and he starts going off more while I slowly walk to the door. I try explaining that other uber drivers will come and he starts yelling incoherently at me about no uber drivers coming. The order had a tip and since I cancelled it, uber will increase the base pay to get someone to pick it up. He just keeps yelling and cutting me off so I leave. I do uber a lot, Iāve never seen a store act like this without being prompted. I said sorry, thanks etc and was all polite even though I was given a fake time that in the end according to the guy would be 5x the original wait.
I called the store the next day to speak to a manager or supervisor. I didnāt know what race the guy was so I said, āapologies if it isnāt his race but I think the guy who cooks who is jamaican was very rudeā and was then told there wasnāt a Jamaican. I said I donāt know what his race is but he was of a darker skin colour (his race isnāt the issue of course but I was trying to describe the worker I was dealing with) and got told again he wasnāt Jamaican. I forget what I said next but was told for a third time he wasnāt Jamaican. I finally get a little annoyed and push to say, āalright, I understand that but the guy, who is of darker skin colour that cooks, was very rudeā and the manager talks down to me and says he is Sri Lanken. I say okay and explain my situation more and after Iām done she says, āare you done?ā And I say yes, have a good day and hang up. Extremely rude experience on both ends and I can promise I wasnāt hostile going into this as I know what itās like to have a customer who is upset with something out of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to really love going here. But the last few visits the food started tasting horrible. Pancakes specifically tasted like sand. Last Saturday I went in later than usual around 3pm. Obviously something had just happened as the owner was yelling in another language and kept yelling Shiva or Shiba. I was with someone and we were confused so we just sat down. A server came to us and she seemed distraught and upset, asking for our order but we had yet to see a menu. We over heard other customers chatting about jobs to her, when she returned to our table we asked if she was okay and what had happened and she began to cry. I gave her a hug. I learned that the owner drinks in the back and Shiba or Shiva is what he calls her instead of her actual name. He had been screaming at her in front of customers because a previous person refused to pay for the owners food just before we got there. The entire time I was present I felt unsafe, the owner was yelling in another language to another worker who spoke it as well. I got the impression the server was being made fun off and abused by her boss. The server also told me that he refuses to pay her after 3pm although her hours are till 4pm. I would not recommend going here for your own safety. I would also advise not to take children to this restaurant as it is not a family friendly environment. This place should be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed an order with them through Skip The Dishes. There was an error on the address so we called the restaurant right away to have the address changed and the gentleman we spoke to quickly change the address for us so the food will get delivered to the proper place. We even called Skip the dishes to confirm the address was correct and they confirmed it as well. The food gets delivered to the wrong address still. So we called the restaurant for some assistance, and he starts to yell at me saying that he cannot help me and that itās not his problem. Zero level of customer service skills, zero level of respect for paying customers and zero level of professionalism. I believe his name was Mohammed, who claimed he was the store manager. I do not know how places like this have managers with low level customer service skills tha run the business. If this so-called manager wouldāve at least shown some respect, courtesy and even an ounce of professionalism, it wouldāve been a different experience, even if he couldnāt help us. Very upsetting. I, and I hope others will never give these guys another dime of...
