I recently went to Rice2go, and have been going there for a year and bit. I ordered on the phone and asked for the dinner for two. I wanted to substitute the egg rolls for spring rolls and the chicken chow mein for the Schezuan noodles. On recovering my food, I went back home and saw that they gave me egg rolls and Schezuan chicken.
I drove back and told the manager. Thankfully she gave 2 springs rolls and an extra one for the inconvenience. It’s sad to say, that this is the only good thing to come out of this situation.
Upon telling the worker who took my order that I asked for Schezuan noodles instead of chicken, she looked at me dumbfounded and said I asked for chicken. I do not know why I would ask for chicken when I was already getting chicken balls and wings. Also, why would I substitute chicken chow mein for more chicken, instead of noodles.
Instead of admitting she did not hear properly, she made me pay for another set of noodles and did not apologize for her mistake. Clearly at this establishment, the customer is not the main priority. I know they want to give young kids a chance at earning experience, but it would be great if they could train them to get orders correct. As much as I would like a refund for my $15 on the extra noodles, I did not feel like fighting back and wanted to get out of there.
I have decided to take a break from Rice2go and try New Hong Kong up the road. Much better quality...
Read moreI use to come here for my food for years and then noticed the quality was slipping and stopped coming after getting a huge hair in my meal the last time..decided to try it again tonight as I loved their house combo back in the day.. I got a side order of salt and pepper seafood ( had asked for salt and spicy Shrimp or squid but they told me that was their version of the salt and spicy). So disappointed in the seafood mix. It's as if they took the cheapest smallest shrimp they could find and throw it into a bland batter and then fry it up. I paid $15 dollars for deep fried batter pretty much. Every piece was just more greasy batter rather than actual seafood. The squid was rubber rings. unimpressed and definitly will never be buying from here again. Didn't even bother eating any of the house combo as the seafood was enough to knock me off. For the price, there are definitly far better places...
Read moreI thought to give this place a try with all the recommendations. I ordered their Lo Mein ...my kids favorite... it was very soggy noodles under the vegetables. I went back a second time, let them know about the Lo Mein issue, they offered no refund ...they said "you want the noodles crispy?" I said okay I'll give them another try...the noodles came back burnt on the ends...and bland..no soy sauce or anything...not the typical Lo Mein I have had anywhere else. I also order a personal General Tao...the pieces were all hard crispy batter and smaller than a dime sized piece of chicken, and it was layered on "supposed" steamed rice...that was actually cold!. Absolutely horrible. I won't be returning. I guess New Hong Kong will get all my business for...
