The Java Connection — Restaurant in Whitehorse

It was okay. I went on a weekday morning around 8 AM and it was quite busy. Service was a little slow. It looked like two of the three front staff were new, and things looked a bit disorganized behind the bar. Prices were steeper than The Coffee Shop up the street but not ridiculous. There was a bit of a wait, but they did get my order correctly. The cheddar and ham scone was surprisingly good and packed with cheese. They have a little patio outside that's pretty cute. I have never been treated so rudely at a coffee shop. Ordered a chai latte and a CAFE latte. Was asked to specify what latte I meant by cafe latte. I was a bit floored but said coffee with milk. I was told that is just a latte. I tried to explain cafe latte differentiates between other lattes such as chai lattes or matcha lattes..that latte by itself just means milk. I was told by I presume the manager...that in 10 years of operation she had NEVER heard the term cafe latte...

The Java Connection is a 5-star gem! The staff are always friendly, the menu is diverse and the food and drinks are always fantastic. We have even pre-ordered lunch for our office (18 people) for pick up right before their lunch rush and they have always been very accomodating.
