I hate writing bad reviews . But it can’t be helped . We ordered 2 prime rib beef dips and the beef was overcooked old tasting the au jus was greasy and tasted really burned I made my own au jus for them and that didn’t even help them eat it . We ordered two schnitzels with mashed potatoes gravey on the side . Schnitzel was overcooked like rubber and they made one with fries which were definitely cooked in bad oil . and forgot the second schnitzel so we had to drive back to get it . We ordered a chicken noodle soup which was puked up by the child who ate it . The gravy for the sides was really lumpy and cold so not food safe . All 5 meals were barely touched and thrown out as a waste . Really disappointing as I had gone there to have potato skins once and they were not bad . Our family wasted our money here . I suggest if getting take out you open the containers before you leave . We won’t be going to back to order food and don’t want a refund or anything . We take it as a lesson learned . Also when we went to pick up our food it had been given to another person so we waited for them to make another which .. it should have been at least hot but it wasn’t . I’ve worked in a few restaurants and diners and I would never send food out like this . Clean your deep fryers . Make sure your gravy is food safe temp and not sitting all day . These are not complicated dishes to make so make sure you train your cook to a standard...
Read moreTonight, I decided to try a nacho salad with spicy chicken and a camp-out burger. Unfortunately, the salad was extremely disappointing; it felt hastily assembled with large chunks of tomatoes and green peppers I couldn't enjoy or eat, and there was hardly any sour cream despite its large and extremely oversized portions. The plain AF chicken tasted awful and bland. No seasonijg whatsoever. As for the camp-out burger, it was such a messy affair that kept falling apart, much to my dad's frustration. Overall, my experience at Williams Lake OverLander Pub was so disappointing & underwhelming. I felt like it would have been better to stay home and cook instead of we had that option. All the talented cooks in WL have all retired in this quaint town of 11k people, leaving us with those who severely lack the passion for creating a decent meal for WL and really couldn't care less about their bottom-of-the-barrel quality of cooking. What a...
Read moreGot the Backwoods burger with a poutine for my side. I really enjoyed my food, the burger was very good, as was the poutine, which had those crispy fries.
The service was great, my server was attentive and personable, and made a good Old Fashioned.
I'd definitely come back.
Edited the next day: came back around 4:30pm August 7. Waitress was really nice, I asked for an orange slice on the side for my Old Fashioned since a classic Old Fashioned is made with an orange peel. I overheard the waitress ask the older lady at the bar and her response was not great. "The oranges are for the beers, tell him not to ask again". And something about not having time to go to the grocery store or something. A cocktail usually costs more than a beer, so I don't...
