I typically go to this location opposed to the highway location as that location frequently messed up my order.
I just went around 4pm at drive thru. There was a long pause before I was greeted, no one else in line before me (rare, I know) and pull to the front. I see a large amount of young people hanging around talking through the window. This also took a longer than normal time to be greeted. The person who took my payment was toting around a bottle of flavoring or syrup, didn't make me feel like I was a priority.
He then comes back and tells me they don't have the treat I had asked for and paid for. Typically, drive thru checks their treat selection as you order to ensure no mishaps. I swapped to something else at the same cost.
Then I get my drink. And it's no joke, half full. It's medium London Fog Latte, so there is two inches of foam to my maybe 125ml of tea. Super disappointing.
Typically experience from here has been great. I do think that whomever was supervising these young people today needs to follow up with them on how to make these drinks and just overall etiquette of a job. I know young people are a challenge and workers are hard to come by, but there is a general expectation of overall service and goods that was not provided today.
Ps. What's with this cookie? Tastes fine, but clearly someone just doesn't care about...
Read moreI think they should focus on what products put them on the map. Nail that and leave it there. If I want pizza, I'd go somewhere that makes it. If I want coffee, I'd like to go somewhere that doesn't burn it, has grounds. Staff know the difference between regular and recalf. If it calls for cream and sugar, it doesn't automatically mean double double. Most of the staff hardly speak or understand English, making it difficult to ask questions. Both of the restaurants in town, I believe, are under the same ownership. Which shows. The dining areas are always dirty, tables sticky, food on the floor...dont get me started on the bathroom 🤢 I would rather pee behind the dumpster next to the drive-thru, which smells like I'm not the first one with the thought. As individuals, put more effort into your restaurants. As a franchise, stick to the basics and perfecting them. None of these; breakfast on some strange thing now, a gross sandwich, patterning with this company, promoting some other way to get your money in their pockets, pizza, this or that spice..the list goes on..yet the coffee is often dumped out shortly after if purchased because it...
Read moreYou can move through the drive-through quickly enough, but the food is hit or miss. One early morning meal has been particularly disappointing. Donut ordered was hard and stale and I bit into my wrap and the yolk of my egg was shades of green and grey.
The stale donuts have always been problematic but the wrap was too much in this instance. I returned to get a different wrap and the manager (i assume as she is regularly there and directing others) was defensive about the wrap, telling me that sometimes "the eggs just have a bit of green or grey, thats normal". It is in fact a normal indicator of bacteria growth and spoilage, even if the eggs are fresh cracked... And on the donuts I was simply told that they were "last nights donuts, but within the window of expiration". Which is what we all want to hear when we pay regular price for a crusted and hard stale donut...
Customer service honestly is just a bit disappointing. When competing with many other fast goods options in close proximity as well, I might recommend others head to A&W...
