I review things systematically based off of food quality, price, service, cleanliness, atmosphere.
If you are picky about tap water I would suggest not getting water here as all I could taste was the metallic taste of the pipes. I could not drink it and my boyfriend who is not picky about water at all also said he disliked it and only drank it due to thirst.
Food: 2/5 I am a big fan of rice cake dishes and I cannot say I enjoyed the one I had here. The price is high but you are served a big portion. However, i have had this dish before served to me for half the price and twice the quality at a different restaurant. I had the Korean BBQ panini before as well and I remember it being very dry. We had yam tempura which arrived undercooked and without tempura sauce. They were able to cook them for a longer amount of time and they were much more enjoyable afterwards. I added cheese to a dish which cost 5$ extra which seems kind of outrageous considering I could buy an entire block of cheese for that price. The rice cake dish was very soupy so the cheese disintegrated and was unable to add to the dish unfortunately. The flavour is good I just wish the cheese could have stayed in tact more.
The waitress was great she checked on us and was able to get the tempura redone for us and was overall able to price 5/5 service.
The atmosphere 5/5 is nice and quiet with light music and beautiful decoration. However, not very many people were there on each occasion I visited this restaurant. (This was my third time)
The restaurant appeared very clean, the tables are very sticky but it cannot be helped as sanitizer sometimes has this effect. The women’s bathroom was very clean. 5/5 cleanliness
Overall a 3/5 I believe this place is overpriced. However most of their points were obtained through the waitresses good service and cleanliness of restaurant. Food is the reason to go to a restaurant and I will not return to this restaurant for food again so -1 star
2/5 get a...
Read moreMy wife and I used to go there at least once every weekend. It's small, so not a lot of seating and offers Korean food. The last few times we went, the tables weren't cleared, staff moved like they were on prison work-release and no one came to the table to even offer us anything to drink for more than 10 minutes.
The food is average. It isn't terrible and it isn't mind numbly delicious either. The waitresses are slow and often get the order wrong. It seems to be some kind of family-thing going on there so perhaps employee standards are low. The kitchen is also slow and once the food is delivered it's common for the serving staff, usually only 1 girl, to disappear. If you're fine with spending 1.5 to 2 hours for breakfast or lunch, then this is the place to go. The prices are high too. A simple breakfast for two is easily over $50 and the food is no different or better than Salisbury house. Breakfast/lunch for 3 is easily $80.
I guess there are a lot of fanboys giving them a 5 star but all they would have to be is reasonable in food quality (which they are), service (which they aren't) and pricing (which they definitely aren't) and they would get a rating of 3. They are doing nothing that even rates a 4, let alone a 5. We "voted" with our money. We don't go...
Read moreIt was "date night" with my 20-year old nephew. We both wanted something a bit different, so we selected Korean BBQ. This was nephew's first visit to Cafe Lemontree. He LOVED it! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was quick, attentive and gracious. The server came to the table prepared to refill our beverages. She came back twice during the meal to ensure everything was to our satisfaction and to check if we had any questions or needed anything further. Our meals were both hot when they arrived at the table, and looked beautiful. Because of COVID-19, there were very few guests in the restaurant, but we noticed a brisk take-out / delivery service. Tables were well-spaced, and sanitizer was available as soon as you walk in the door. We spent about two hours enjoying our meal and conversation, and did not feel rushed. The decore has a wonderful relaxed 'cafe' feeling. The table was very private even though it is part of a larger dining area. Between the unique salt and pepper shakers on the tables, tea cup collections and other beautiful items throughout the space, there are many things to look at. Lots to see without feeling overwhelmed with too much 'stuff'. My nephew has discovered a new place, and I've been reminded of this great...
