On Uber Eats, when buying the legendary lumberjack meal you are forced to upgrade your pancakes 1.99 or more. No option to get plain pancakes. When I got the pancakes they were not blueberry pancakes ..they were regular pancakes with a side of blueberries in a container. The description says the berries are cooked in the batter. Also when buying this meal you have to choose the cheesy eggs and when I complained I was charged 3.99 I was told that cheesy eggs are always a part of the regular cost of this meal and it is included. But if you look at my receipt I was charged 3.99 for eggs (no option to not be charged extra) and these pancakes that don't even have blueberries in them that I had to buy at an additional charge rather than getting plain. I also recieved burnt, cold soggy toast. Yuck. 50 dollars for one meal delivered. Never again.

Read moreContext is everything in a review. Danny's is located in essentially what is a shopping concourse. To me, eating in a cafeteria setting off of paper plates misses the mark.
In a poll among our five hungry travellers, the response to the food was "alright". The two star rating might seem unreasonable, but I'm factoring not just food quality (arguably average) as well as experience. Super pleasant staff.

Service score: 2/5 - warm people, very nice, but service really constitutes ordering from a placard and picking up your order from a counter.
Food score: 2/5 - meh. What can you say about food on a paper plate? Nothing to write home about and certainly not worth a special trip to the Forks. Potatoes were nicely done - saving this...
Read moreDanny's is my favourite place to get breakfast for a number of reasons. I love that they are locally owned, and support local farmers. The food is absolutely delicious. The pancakes are as big as your head, and incredibly fluffy. you can't go wrong! I have dined in-person and ordered through a delivery app, and each time the quality of the food has been consistent. I would highly recommend taking the time to sit and enjoy your meal there, as it may take some time for the food to be ready. The Forks is a very busy place and because there are many people that love eating at Danny's I would say this isn't necessarily a quick "take-it-to-go" style of restaurant. The food is definitely worth the wait and far better than any other competing breakfast restaurants. There are some fantastic sandwiches on the menu, so if you're not into breakfast there are some lunch...
