I love Tall Grass Prairie. I prefer the location in Wolseley, but this site is pretty good too. They have a good selection of breads, some of which are seasonal or are baked only on certain days (the potato bread is especially good when it is available). Tall Grass Prairie also has great brownies and cookies (especially the Folk Fest cookie). Their fruit pies are to die for – pricey but definitely worth it. Around thanksgiving, you can see bakers taking roasted pumpkins out of the oven as they scoop out the insides to make their next batch of pumpkins pies. You have to pay a deposit for any pie plates, but you can return it later for a refund. They also have a number of delicious cakes – chocolate with buttercream icing, carrot cake, lemon poppyseed cake, etc. I think all of their ingredients are natural, so the flavours really hit your palate.

Great atmosphere, great staff, and of course great food! I would highly recommend anyone visiting to come to the Forks Market and have any item offered under the menu, from desserts to sandwiches. They are all amazing. The staff is friendly, and although there was quite a long line as this place is clearly in demand (and great food), it went quick and efficient. Staff was happy and friendly easy to deal with. I am definitely coming back for the ciabatta sandwich as it looked delicious. There are also a variety of vegan options available. Thanks again, tall grass, prairie bread Company, you are a local treasure.

My daughter brought me out for Mothers day lunch and quality time together, we looked around the restaurants for Vegetarian options for myself and I came across Tall Grass Prairie bread. I absolutely loved my Mothers day lunch from here! I had a half of a veggie sandwich and orzo pasta but the absolute cherry on the cake was the Mushroom Turnover, it was the best thing I have ever tasted.... I may have sent my daughter back for 2 more LOL... I will definitely be back for more!!! the only downside was my croissant didn't get put in the bag so It was forgotten about until after we left.

I cannot say enough when it comes to this bakery. I live half an hour away, and make a trip to the forks specifically for the bakery a few times a week now. The cookies are great (especially the lemon). The brownies are AMAZING! Large and in charge. But not TOO sweet. So you can eat two without feeling sick. Heck. Maybe even three! And the cinnamon buns are incredible! People scoop those things up so fast. I can only imagine how many they sell per day. I always FEEL good after eating there. Like I'm doing my body a favour. I believe I am! I love supporting local businesses. And I'll be their number one fan until I move to Quebec. I'll have to get someone to ship some goodies to me every so often 😉

Don't miss out on these guys! Everything is good. Everyone is nice. And the prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of work they put...

You have to absolutely visit this bakery if you are visiting the forks market. I can easily recommend arriving here in the mornings when their breads are just freshly baked, the whole wheat cinnamon buns are mouth watering delicious! You may think oh no whole wheat buns? trust me, one cannot taste it, you will most likely eat more than one bun if you are a type of person that enjoys a fresh cup of coffee and a warm baked treat in the mornings. If you see people taking home a dozen or more cinnamon buns, that is a normal daily routine....YES! they are that good. haha. Don't worry, they make a lot of them daily. Their scones are great as well, oh how I miss this place already! What are you waiting for? check out this bakery, you will not be disappointed! Another great gem in the...
