My group of friends and I came here for a 7:30 reservation on October 5th for our friends birthday. I had been here before and had a great experience in the past so I spoke very highly of Gusto North. However, after Saturdays poor experience I will not be back and I believe none of the ladies in my group will be either. I would also like to add the restaurant was not busy this evening. Our server was a blonde female with a bun (I do not want to confuse her with the other lovely blonde server with her hair down), and this server either hates her job or hates people, maybe both. Either way I do not think she should be working in the service industry. She was extremely rude, and had zero patience. Some of the ladies were new to Gusto North and they had questions on what was in the dishes. Our server was so impatient and would basically interrupt in the middle and say shell be back once they’ve actually decided what they want, failing to help the ladies with their questions. She always seemed like she was in a rush to go somewhere but she would just hangout by the bar. She did not come back during the service to ask us if we wanted any more beverages or food, so we had to stop her ourselves while she was running laps to avoid tables. When I asked her for drinks she gave me a very rude response saying can’t you tell I am busy? I will come back to you when I can. Later on when we asked her what they have for Birthday treats she told us nothing is free in this restaurant. Which was not our question at all, we wanted to buy dessert for our friend to treat her. However, after her rude comments we decided it was best we go somewhere else for dessert and cocktails since we felt so unwelcome at the restaurant. Management at Gusto, you guys have a very nice restaurant with great food and atmosphere, but I would recommend hiring servers who actually enjoy their job and enjoy...

We booked Gusto north Patio for a party of 6 and the experience was terrible. Front counter took 10 mins to notice myself and my partner and took another 5 to find someone to look up our reservations. Our server kept forgetting our orders, she had to confirm 2-3 times with the lack of interest. She provided no suggestions for any alternative drink as some of the mixes for cocktails were out, nor any wine suggestions. Did not follow up during our meals and had to wave her down a few times. The only moment she showed some interest was when we were paying. Food was over priced, the oysters were quickly thawed to room temperature as it was served on salt compared to ice. Cheese board, scallops, Calamari were subpar, quite disappointing. We planed to splurge on a quality meal and service for a special occasion and Gusto north did not deliver. The over priced food did not bother me as much as the service. Service is what sets the atmosphere and vibe which again was so bad that we drove down to the Keg and manage to salvage our night. We had more food and drinks that cost less than Gusto north, not to mention better service…. I waited a month to write this review in hopes that I would forget, however a few other friends also had a...

Best Italian Restaurant in town, perfection. The food this place offers is perfect. Went to gusto north recently and tried their full course menu. Had a blast. My adventure started with arancini which was delicious the stuffing when dipped in the sauce was perfection. Quite good and mouth watering leaves you craving for more. It was followed up with Carbonara, especially loved the egg yolk on the top when mixed with the pasta gives it a smooth creamy flavor, pasta was cooked to perfection. With added parmesan and chilli flakes even more tasteful. We followed it up with Scallopine, the chicken was cooked perfectly, surrounded by a mixture of celery and mashed potato which when chicken was dipped into resulted in a grandeur experience. Finally had Liotta Rossa for the Pizza, Italian cuisine experience is quite incomplete without a good pizza. And this one didn't disappoint. The tomato basil incombination with basil and ricotta with chicken topping was unstoppable in fullfilling my palate. This is a 100% repeat try restaurant. The staff is great and super friendly. Willing to answer your questions. It is expensive but worth every penny a must try for Italian...

Pizzeria Gusto on Academy Road is hands down one of Winnipeg’s best dining spots. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, inviting, and stylish, perfect for both a casual evening or a special night out. The food is outstanding! Every dish is crafted with care and incredible flavor. The Gamberi alla Diavola had just the right kick, and the pizzas are some of the best you’ll find anywhere, the Margherita with olives and peppers was perfection with its thin, crisp crust and rich, authentic toppings. The Crudo di Tonno was another highlight, beautifully presented and delicious. To finish, the Affogato was a simple yet elegant dessert that tied everything together. Service was excellent throughout the evening. Our server, Lauren, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience without ever feeling rushed. If you’re looking for an elevated yet approachable dining experience in Winnipeg, Pizzeria Gusto is a must-visit. The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently top-notch truly a gem on Academy Road.

Went to Gusto North for early dinner on a Friday. First off, the patio was lovely. The best part of the night. And the food looked quite good presentation wise. But, the food only tasted "ok". Thirty bucks is a lot for a somewhat small portion of bolognese pasta that tasted fairly average. The service was pretty bad. Our server kept forgetting about us. We kept grabbing her attention. Once got up and went inside asking her to come to our table after waiting 15-20 minutes after saying she said she'd be right back to take our order. Asked for a dessert menu later but that didn't come for another 20-25 minutes. Very frustrating. And the place wasn't really busy so I'm not sure what was going on. We just settled our bill quickly and left to go elsewhere. But, the patio was really nice. I'm not eager to go back.
