I went to this restaurant once, and will never again. • The server was a friendly young-lady who couldn’t speak, nor understand English. • Staff refused to refill their rice, or perhaps it was a language barrier. We asked when they will serve more rice because it was empty. They responded with, “you get it yourself.” We then explained that there was none and it was empty. The staff did not like that and started raising their voices at each other in their own language. And so, they took their time refilling the pot of rice. • The water pitcher was filthy. The handle had the previous tables hand (sauce) smears all over it and inside was their food. • Their water is DREADFUL! • The utensils were served to us with her hands allover the spoon. The proper way would have been to wrap it in a napkin and hand us the handle – not the other way. • I can understand that during rush hour its difficult to cater to every tables needs. But there was apparent service towards every other table except ours. I hope it wasn’t because of our ethnicity, or due to the fact that we spoke different languages. • We asked our server if they were going to serve more goat. She responded, “you like to order goat to-go, ok?” we tried to tell her we are paying for the buffet and just wanted to know if there will be more meat getting served because all that was left was sauce. She couldn’t understand so she just smiled as we spoke and eventually she walked away.
This place is not worth going to. The service was terrible and the food was far from spectacular. It was a waste of my...
Read moreI've been ordering from this restaurant through skip the dishes for months and sometimes their butter chicken dish is inconsistent and tastes different every time. I only order from here as it's close to home and their price is pretty decent. What really ticked me off is when I made an order a week ago I had ordered butter chicken and a mango lassi. When the skip driver had delivered my food, the restaurant called me saying they are out of the mango lassi and said they would initiate a refund back to my card. Knowing they've reached out to me, I didn't bother complaining to skip as I thought this restaurant would take responsibility. Few days after, I had checked my bank account and nothing was refunded. I then reached out to Skip and they told me I had missed my 48 hour window to complain about my order and they can't do anything about it. Furious, I had phoned the restaurant and gave my order number and my personal cell number and the staff said they would have someone call me back. Still no one has phoned me back, so I've decided to let a bit of my Karen out to leave this scathing review of how poorly this restaurant is managed. I won't bother ordering from this restaurant ever again. It checks in how their skip score on Skip the...
Read moreWent there today for the 1st time after someone told me that Jas restaurant had improved food quality. I tried the buffet but it lacked quality. Food in back row is nicely setup although not easy to add to your plate because of how it is placed. I could ignore it and took Spciy chicken and Goat curry. The chicken was not cooked well, not flavourful, and had a strong tangy taste to it. So i did not take any more of it. The goat curry was all bones so i had to poke around a bit. Garlic naan uses garlic powder so nowhere what you may have tried elsewhere and it was dry. The meat was tasteless and not easily chewable and I did not eat all of it. The only saving grace was gulab jamun at the end.
I think the owners need to seriously look at hiring a good cook. I have never given a feedback to the server even if I didn’t like the food but for my second time that I can remember, I told the server that food quality has scope for improvement. I reliaze that people work hard so I don’t want them to fail but as a customer why would anyone waste their money on food that is not properly cooked or has no good taste.
In future I will order once from their regular menu instead of buffet and see if there is any difference. But seriously, don’t go...
