Subway — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I don’t feel safe coming here anymore. there’s one (self-described) jobless man that seems to hang out here a lot around lunch time. One time he was asking customers in line for money, one time he grabbed a bag of chips and sat down to eat them without paying, multiple times he’s questioned Asian-appearing people about their race and made comments on it, and today he started yelling at another customer who was in line (who also appeared Asian), claiming that he was looking at him, and that he thought he was better than him because he had a job, and threatening to shoot him. There were families with children in the restaurant as this was happening, and at no point during any of these events did the staff even look up at what was happening.

Bothering customers and stealing food is one thing, but shouting, antagonizing, and threatening violence against patrons is something that the staff should be doing something about. I’m not expecting them to intervene and put their own lives at risk, but they should be calling the police at the very least. The restaurant was full and every single person, children included, were visibly frightened, and at no point did staff pay any mind. The man being antagonized even asked them to call the police, and the staff didn’t respond.

I won’t be returning to this location anymore, in fear of having a run-in with this seemingly dangerous man who, for some reason, is perfectly welcome. I’ve seen him here multiple times, and I’ve never even seen him buy anything, he just loiters and...

Happy New Year! I came in around 6:30am, Jan 1st, 2019 (in pajamas, lol!) and was a little disappointed that there wasn't any of the herb and cheese bread baked yet however the woman who made my sub did an excellent job! She actually took the time to evenly lay out all of the toppings and added more of certain things exactly as I requested without hesitation or complaining. So often things are just thrown on with the ends having only a few shreds of lettuce! If you ask for more pickles or something, the staff member will react as though you've asked them to give you their first born child! They will add 3 pickle slices and stop, forcing you to continue saying 'more, please.. and some more.. a few more..' etc which only annoys the staff person and makes them even LESS likely to customize your sub exactly how you want it to be!!!

I regret that I didn't get this woman's name so that she could get the credit she deserves! But hopefully the comments here are looked at often so that the correct employee can be identified and maybe she and I can both be rewarded with a free...

Food was fine BUT... we were straight up ripped off!!

Lets start by saying that the girl at the till pulled a fast one and switched the coupon that we handed to her for another that wasn't for what we ordered and then proceeded to tell us we wripped out the wrong one and it wont work. She then handed us back the one that we allegedly handed her, which actually still existed, untorn, from our sheet of coupons as proof we did not give her that one! So we were forced to pay full price. We should have just walked out honestly.. but that would be a waste of food.

When I argued that it was switched, as it was literally the first and only coupon we even tore from that damn sheet when we walked in the store, she shrugged it off and played dumb. This location never gave us issues before, but now, we will not be going back. That was legit robbery. What the hell is wrong with people these days?

I dont even write reviews ever, but this just threw me into a new level of anger.. Please guys, make sure to keep a very close eye on your coupons as you hand...
