I thought that the marigold food was excellent it was delicious me and my wife said it was nice portions $150.30 I tip the delivery guy 20 bucks and they were very friendly very nice although they were very busy so I had to be put on hold about a couple of times but that's okay because he got back to me right away and he even called me back and confirmed the order very professional food tasted delicious my compliments to the chef of the marigold and man it was awesome because he doesn't like McDonald's he doesn't like Burger King he doesn't it doesn't like McDonald's and any other takeout for that matter he likes a little bit of pizza but it has to be really good pizza and when we cook at home for him which is a lot he's very picky eater so we have to make them like spaghetti we have to make them with hamburger we have to make with tomato sauce he doesn't like potato my son is a very very picky eater and he liked everything that the marigold had to offer I am very impressed and I highly suggest ordering from this establishment very good the portions and the sizes of the food due to inflation and the recession and shrinkflation didn't really notice I thought it was very good portions for $150.30 yeah we still have leftovers plenty of leftovers it you do notice a slight tad bit of decrease but not much at all and you know I don't blame them for the cost of living so but I will say this how many did we get we got about 9 or 10 different dishes the egg rolls were delicious by the way I'm a voice texting to write on this so if the punctuation is not there please excuse that I don't know for some reason they don't add punctuation so it's just rambling on sentences I'm fully aware of that but yes let's get back to the marigold order the marigold really good delicious thank you Marigold if you read this and I give you a 10 Stars rather...
Read moreJUNE 5,2022 😡 We had company from Calgary Alberta and another relative had suggested to them to go the Marigold on Inkster as a choice for dinner. OMG ‼️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🫣 THE WORST, WORST! Food I believe I’ve ever (not) eaten. I would NOT describe that food as Chinese Food !! All the ‘meat’ products were the same colour. The shrimp was definitely cocktail shrimp with the TAILS & not! Breaded shrimp. Fried Rice? White rice with a few green onions and CORN. No veg on our combination plates??! Greasy. Tasteless or rather everything tasted the same. The Veal: a joke; paper thin pale yellow horrible. I couldn’t say anything at the moment because I was paying & didn’t want to embarrass our company BUT FOR $71 I WIIL BE CALLING THERE TOMORROW ( COULDNT get thru today 🤨) I seriously tasted one of ea. & didn’t eat at all. Stomachache all day today ‼️😤. YOU WANT THE BEST CHINESE?? Sing Fe in Stonewall (cheaper) bloomin FABULOWSO ‼️ or Wok House on Portage Ave Wpg. If there had been a zero for a choice that’s what I would’ve packed instead of a 1.AND BECAUSE IM NICE! I still gave the...
Read moreNot usually this restaurant I would go to for Chinese food. Will eat here when there is some sort of party happening. Personally, I still enjoy the crab and corn soup with some white pepper. The sweet and sour fish fillet is usually what I go to when/if it comes around for the party menu. Can only eat a couple of the breaded shrimp and I'm taking the batter off because it's quite thick. The dry breaded ribs are okay from time to time. The fried spring chicken is usually too dry for me so I will usually dip it in soy sauce with lemon. Still like the different colored crackers it comes with. Beef with broccoli is good as well. Those are just a few items and I would take another look at the menu to see if other items will catch my eye. Can't really speak too much on the prices, haven't needed to order.
The venue is large, has a dining area and a party area, dance floor, lounge area.
Overall, it's an average Chinese restaurant, no dish really stands out for me and I will likely only be back when another party takes place. But, a random visit isn't out of...
