McDonald's — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Good food but the Men's washroom needs improvement. I was subjected to an awkward situation and I place the blame squarely on McDonald's.

Upon entering the men's washroom I saw that there was a man was using the urinal. Generally this is not an issue and you can either wait your turn or use the stall. I really had to go so I opted to use the stall.

The awkwardness occurred when I attempted to open the stall door. Due in part to the man's girth and the poor layout of the restroom, the door caught on his behind and I had to awkwardly "pull" it across him to gain access to use the toilet. This unwanted physical sensation undoubtedly ruined his McDonald's experience as well, but when you have to go you have to go.

To add further insult to injury, once I was in the stall I had to close the door. AGAIN the door dimensions and the man's girth required I drag the door across his body. I apologized but I could sense he harbored a fair amount of ill will towards me.

I would like to clarify that this was not the fault of the man using the urinal. He was a bigger gentleman but he was not morbidly obese by any means. The problem is solely due to bad restroom design. Hopefully McDonald's will pay for some renovations to rectify this issue...

I did not even get a chance to experience it because I had rude service in the drive through from the start, the employee asked us what we wanted and we started to order than she disappears so we have to ask for her again and order. Then we tell her we have a code and a paper coupon then she replies with ‘no’. After we explained AGAIN that it was a paper coupon she finally starts putting in our food but asks us to repeat ourselves multiple times yet we were speaking clearly. After we finished ordering and were about to leave to the window she told us ‘you guys aren’t speaking properly, you need to speak clearly’ which we found extremely rude so we decided we would take our business to a different place. The female employee working the drive through at 11:25pm on March 18th seemed extremely distracted and blamed us for her not paying attention, she was distracted. We will not be returning to this location. She was rude and didn’t even speak proper English, for her to have the nerve to leave a comment to us about how we order was...

I just had a coffee while waiting for my bus. I can't really say anything else about this location other than it was nice and clean at 11:15pm and fully staffed.

This location at least has table service when using the McD app. A lot of McDonald's in Winnipeg still haven't returned to table service since Covid even if their tables have the #'s still on them.

I will update this review after I actually eat a full meal, I had just had a 10oz sirloon steak at Montana's so I can be forgiven for not eating anything this time.

I used to go in here back before Covid when the dinning room was open 24/7 but now it seems that there are only two or three McDonald's in Winnipeg that have the dinning room open 24/7. I guess we still haven't rolled back down the sidewalks after they were rolled up during the lockdowns. For Winnipeg NOT to have quite a few 24/7 fast food places is setting our city back to the early 90s where we were still trying to catch up to other...
