New manager makes going here really irritating and uncomfortable. He doesn't stop trying to sell you things the entire time you're in the store. I tried to politely make it clear I just wanted to make my yogurt but over the course of my visit he tried getting me to get: Coffee, a coffee card, a gift card, yogurt tubs out of their fridge that was going bad (saying they didn't have enough room for it), telling me I can take the spoon home, etc. It was just really awkward and transparent that he was trying to squeeze as much money as he could from my visit. I had been planning on eating it there but he continued to pester me at my table so I ended up leaving to eat it elsewhere.
It is unfortunate because I used to enjoy the relaxing environment there, but now that manager just makes it too uncomfortable, boardering on harasment. For the last few months he is there every time I have wanted to stop in, I'm not sure if I am just unlucky or if he is really there 90% of the time.
I would guess he is new at managing which is why he lacks some of the interpersonal skills you'd expect and why he is so heavy handed/transparent with trying to get you to buy more. It is too bad one bad employee can ruin the whole experience, but I'd highly advise avoiding this location until they...
Read moreOnline posting claimed free waffle cone on Wednesdays. I went there and asked store clerk what that meant she said she would deduct the extra cost of the waffle cone from the total cost of the frogurt. I asked how much a frogurt cup usually is, she said usually between $3-5 or $6 and is based on weight. We never got to zero the weight of the cup with the cone so that weight was added to total cost, which was $12!!! Also many of the machines were not working and either the frogurt would not come out or came out in a puddle which also added to the weight. At the end the employee didn't explain why it cost so much, just said it was based on weight then left to the back room when I had a question, so there was no one to ask for clarification if she charged extra for the "free" cone...
Read moreWe visited On Tap Frozen Dessert Bar hoping to try their frozen yogurt, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. Being from Toronto, we weren’t familiar with how the ordering process worked, so we were expecting at least a little guidance. Unfortunately, the staff was completely unhelpful.
A girl who appeared to be working there was mopping the floor and showed no interest in assisting us. Even after asking a couple of questions about the assortments, she seemed uninterested, gave minimal responses, and eventually walked away to the back — never to return. We waited and eventually gave up and left.
The service was simply pathetic. If you’re looking for a welcoming and helpful place to enjoy a dessert, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere. Definitely not...
