Worst experience, ever. Ordered the 2 person dinner meal for 28.99. The soup had a weird texture and we asked our waiter if we could try any other soup, and there was no compensation, hense he begun to explain that our meal is still on its way. So knowing the soup was 1/4 of the meal, it wasn't a stressor until we received our main dishes. The chicken barely looked cooked with a slimy, almost rubbery texture, and the fried shrimp was really dry. So disappointed at this point, we asked to package our meal with only eating the vegetable rolls... And in the end while at the till, the owner came storming out of the kitchen and he began to yell at my mom, pointing at a wall hanging that shows good customer satisfaction. He then claimed that "everyone loves my food, why don't you?!"(broken English) as he was hitting the frame on the wall and yelling at my mom with customers around us. So unprofessional, and we didn't even get the soup off of the bill. 30.00 for two vegetable rolls and leftover food that won't be eaten. A man who owns a business professionally NEVER EVER dares to yell at a customer, I've been in the restaurant industry for over two years now, and know what bad customer service is when I am put into situations like these... Never going here again, and would not recommend...
Read moreI know it’s easy to dismiss a bad review as simply “an angry customer” so let me say first - I have been a very happy customer of theirs for years with no problems. Tonight, however, I had a mistake with my order.
The staff had forgotten to include one of the items I had ordered & payed for. Given it was a busy Friday night I would have happily dismissed this as a mistake. Unfortunately another gentleman (potentially the owner?) thought it was more appropriate to argue and fight me over the matter. The young man answering the phone tonight was a little more helpful and with a lot of discussion, managed to convince the owner to replace the missing item at no extra cost. It should have been a simple solution for an honest mistake. Instead, upon my arrival, the owner continued to question my integrity, insisting there was no way he could have forgotten to include the item. Apparently the photo I took to prove my story wasn’t acceptable either. Clearly I manipulated the photo for free food!🙄
Well Victoria Seafood, I hope this argument was worth losing a customer. I have never been treated as poorly as I have tonight and I will never again support your business. Mistakes happen, how you handle them defines your business... and...
Read moreGot dim sum. Lotus sticky rice, shrimp dumplings, shrimp rice noodle, BBQ pork buns, pork dumpling, Victoria spring rolls, and short ribs over steamed rice.
The lotus sticky rice was delicious.
The shrimp dumplings were big but bland, needed lots of soy sauce. The rice noodle shrimp was gelatinous and unpleasant in texture.
All the pork dishes tasted kind of bad... We ate them with lots of soy sauce anyway but did not like them.
The only dish we could not eat any of was the spare ribs over steamed rice. Had one bite and it was absolutely not good. Tough meat and tasted very bad to both of us.
We told the server we did not like that one dish and they told us that since they cooked it we would be charged. We had them take it back anyway.
Ultimately the decision not to do anything for us or even apologize, or to see if the dish was properly cooked, is why I made this review. I won't be returning, which is a shame because I live nearby and wanted to like this place, I usually love dim sum.There were lots of people there so maybe we ordered the wrong food items, but I was very unimpressed
Also the men's washroom was the most disgusting washroom I have been in in years, truly awful. Didn't even want to touch...
