Would give 0 stars for service if we could!
Friendly staff until we had a complaint about the beef. Ordered beef tataki and it was super chewy to the point you can’t even swallow. I ask the server for a replacement as the cut of beef was off (not against the grain and too thick with silver skin attached). See picture for reference.
2 older lady Chinese servers were very rude. They said the following: “This is AAA beef. No way can be bad” “All day no complaints” “You must eat as it’s super expensive and a waste to throw away” “If you don’t finish all of it we will charge you $1 per piece no matter what”
I calmly explained to them that this is not edible. If you can’t chew and continue to swallow you can choke to death. They over reacted and laughed. Then continued to ignore us for the rest of dinner service.
Went to counter to pay the bill as they ignored us. The older lady said it’s $10 extra cause you did not finish. I said no and she was extremely mad. She demanded for us to pay for extra charge. I let her know I won’t be paying extra as it is not edible. I asked for their manager. No manager is available. I asked for supervisor. No supervisor available. I asked to speak to the boss/owner of this restaurant. They said the boss is in China and I’m not allowed to speak to them. At the end she was super mad and didn’t charge us the extra but threw the bill at us once we paid. My wife spoke Chinese to the older lady for her to understand better. She then was yelling at my wife super loudly. They are in denial and doesn’t think there is any problem with the food. Older lady said in Chinese “My English is not good enough to argue with your husband. This beef is expensive and you should eat it.” Disrespecting my wife, they got into an argument very loudly making sure the whole restaurant heard everything in Chinese.
The servers had no shame and no staff in the entire restaurant spoke English or “pretended” not to understand, genuine complaints.
We felt embarrassed as everyone was staring. But the staff there wasn’t at all, as they think if the louder they talked the more we would back down as a paying customer. Crazy how staff are yielding at paying customers in front of other customers while they are trying to enjoy a meal.
We will be trying to contact someone about this as this isn’t acceptable anywhere in Canada for the abuse we received.

Read moreNot bad. It's ok. The price is a little on the high side for the mediocre (at best) quality. You can always tell the lower quality sushis when the rolls have extra rice and flooded with sauces, as well as fillers such as fish flakes.
Service is good and prompt. The place is well renovated. It's popular for students due to the buffet.

I brought my 13 year old nephew for sushi. This was a trip for him. By the time payment came they insisted we pay for a roll which he refused to eat because it was super oily. Then they accused me of eating along with him despite me denying it. I asked them look at your video, it will show you all the evidence you need. I had all employees hire around me talking and yelling in their foreign language. Then a lady came out saying we have you eating ok video. So I challenged her to show me. They went back inside to record and show me a copy. 20 mins later they walk out saying "oh we don't have video from that far"....not only they sounded stupid, accusatory, and liers, they insisted and the guts to put an additional non-legal 10% gratuity fee for which I admanitly refused. After this 15 minute arguiment i was ready to walk out, but the cashier agreed to remove the none legal 10% tip fee and we settled for a 31.50$ total fee.

Read moreHad the AYCE. We were a big group (8 adults and 3 children) and there were I believe 3 more big group. The place was packed. I feel there was not enough waitress for tonight maybe that it why the service was like that.
I am unsure how to rate my experience, we had hit and misses.
BAD: took over an hour to get our drinks and had to ask several times. All our food arrived when we were close to the 1h30 -1h45 mark. We ordered sashimi right away based on review, still showed up 1h30 into our meals Tempura seemed to have sat for a long time on a counter before it arrived to us (shrimp tofu brocoli, various vegetables). Tempura tofu was extremely soft tofu see pic The shrimp tempura, non of us ate them, they came 5 min before our 2hrs limit and as per pictures were very soggy, very chewy and not even deveined. Some sushi had lots of rice or mayo. Because it takes so long for the food to arrive, we were very hungry, the kids were restless. I find that we ordered a lot more then we should have due to arriving like after an hour sitting down and you end up eating quick due to the 2hrs limit. Some Fountain drinks were flat, like water and syrup no gases at all.
GOOD Sashimi were good I would say 95% of the sushi we ordered were quite good. The tataki beef was very good, the chicken yakatori was also good, very moist and tasty.
Overall it was a nice evening, and although it was pack, we could hear each other talks which is nice. Paying was fine at the end, they add 15% per bill, for me it was 50$ because I had fountain drink. Will I go there again? Not sure, I am not a fan of AYCE so maybe I will try a la...
