Spent almost $70 bucks. They mistakenly made a caterpillar roll instead of an order of veggie tempura. (The word caterpillar never came out of my mouth, or the mouth of the person who took my order). I called to tell them and the girl on the phone was immediately so rude, and argued with me for about 5 minutes. That was their response. Mistakes are fine, but make it right. Won't order there ever again. Don't recommend. Edit 05/07/2024: I just realized, that the restaurant charged us TWICE for this order (~$140). Once through Uber, even though we cancelled the Uber order within literally 30 seconds, and a second time, when we decided to call in and order directly from the restaurant (which I would've thought was better for their business, no?). They took that opportunity to rip us of and take our money twice, even though they clearly did not have enough time to make the Uber order that we cancelled within 30 seconds. Of course we told them, but they don't care. They know exactly what they're doing. Super scummy staff and management. Life is expensive enough without restaurants literally stealing your money. I'm honestly mind blown by this experience. Don't support...
Read moreUnderwhelmed, opted for real crab on 2 dishes was seriously under portioned. The other dish was supposed to be a deep fried roll, the roll was not breaded nor deep fried. The high ratings had me convinced this is the better sushi joint in Winnipeg, passing through from Vancouver to Ottawa glad I never have to drive by this place again.
The ginger and Wasabi were a little off for my sushi loving taste buds. I hope that their rating is friends and paid Influencers and not the people of Winnipeg because if your city gave this place a 4.6 rating when it deserves a 3.4 at best then Winnipeg needs more foodies that have refined taste.
A for effort but you guys need Gordon Ramsey to give you some pointers. Truthfully I have had much better at chain shops in Toronto.
Sry truth hurts use the review to build back better, also decor and atmosphere are a solid 2 stars if you plan to eat in here.
Love and light, the traveling foodie! 3 stars because you both seem new to the food industry, when my mouth is saying 2...
Read moreStaff were lovely and welcoming but didn't hover and we never felt like we were being upsold or pushed around.
Food came out as it was fresh which was fun, and it was all delicious. Calimari tempura especially was amazing (even though we couldn't finish it and still have room for everything else!) so firm and bouncy and perfectly battered. We liked the croquettes and the deep fried rolls best, but the star of the day was the yakisoba. I have so little faith in any chef cooking chicken, and was so excited to be proven soundly wrong by this one.
We didn't see a drinks menu, and none of us felt brave enough to ask if they had any teas, but that didn't detract at all. The water was clean and refills came at a good pace.
Will most...
