As a wedding photographer, I've had the opportunity to shoot at many beautiful locations, but Leo Mol Sculpture Garden is truly something special. From the moment I stepped into the garden, I was blown away by how serene and picturesque it isโit's like stepping into a hidden oasis right in the heart of Assiniboine Park.
One of the things I love most about shooting here is the incredible variety of backdropsโfrom the beautifully sculpted pathways and lush greenery to the elegant water features and breathtaking sculptures. Whether it's capturing a couple's quiet moment by the pond or playful laughter among the vibrant flowers, every shot feels like a work of art. The lighting here, especially during golden hour, is just magical and adds an extra touch of romance to every photo.
Beyond the beauty of the space, the team at Leo Mol Sculpture Garden is amazing to work with. They're always so helpful and accommodating, making it easy for me and my couples to focus on what really mattersโcreating beautiful memories.
Every time I photograph a wedding here, I leave feeling inspired and grateful to have such a stunning place right here in Winnipeg. If you're a couple looking for a romantic, artistic, and peaceful setting, or a fellow photographer searching for a dream location, I canโt recommend this spot enough. Itโs truly one of...

We did bad things in this house as bored country kids, we would ride our bikes to this freaky spot and trespass all day! it was always empty and had a few lil houses on the property we used for shelter. We thought the person who lived here was a murderer, ( silly kids) there was bags of cement and body parts made of cement all over from years earlier, untouched. So 20 years later, I took my kids to see the spooky house and while I was trying to peek over this " new" 6 foot fence, a neighbor stopped me and asked what I was doing. I explained as a kid this was our hang out and I had to show my kids. The neighbor then explained to me that the house has been moved to the park and put on display. Leo Mol was a world famous sculptor, made sculptors for royal familys, and parliaments all over the world even. I was mind blown. So now the house with the most memories for me is now on display for the world too see. It's so neat. Check it out, it's a really...
ย ย ย Read moreQuiet sculpture garden next to Assiniboine Park English Garden. 2 small museums, one of classic pieces and an old school house that Mol used as a studio. There is a fountain with some of his nudes and there is a nice pond with a pergola, although it is sometimes booked for wedding pictures. If you like Mol it is a nice collection, if you're not into his art it is still a nice garden. In the summer they hold Jazz in the park by the fountain. It has its own small parking lot, but is easily accessible from the English Gardens, which puts it close to the duck pond and the Qualico family restaurant. A nice way to spend a summer morning or afternoon. There are some owls and hawks in the immediate area as well for bird watchers. 20241031 - There are s lot of flowering plots in and around so there are seasonal changes. As well the pond and gazebo are getting one and more filled in. Aside from that it is pretty much the same from...
