Tavern United Fort Garry — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Being from out of town I have been here for 3 weeks for training. Staying at the Fort Garry Hotel. Meals are provided by the company through the Tavern United and at Altos on the weekends. Altos has great service always!!! The tavern well thats another story. Multiple times a week, we have waited well over an hour, and not one waiter/waitress has come to talk to us!! Some of the absolute worst service I have seen!!! I get we don't pay for our meals!! But we still buy drinks and will tip if the service is good!! But if we can't ever get a drink in under an hour, why would we tip? lol. I get some nights there busy, but the funny thing is we get the worst service or no service when the place is dead!!! Reserved a table for Saturday ufc (should have known better) waited over an 1 1/2 hrs again. No one came to ask if we wanted a drink or anything!! We.left needless to say!! Been to tav for wing night multiple times. It was our first time coming to the fort garry location and it’ll definitely be the last. We got there at around 6:15 pm and it took 20 mins before our server came by after we were seated. Our server probably would not have even come by if we didn’t ask the hostess for some water and she had realized we still hadn’t been served yet. We had ordered wings and nachos. The food came out and there was no sour cream or salsa for the nachos. We waited for our server to come by to any of the tables around us but it took a while and when we asked for what we were missing we again had to wait another 10-15 minutes resulting in cold, soggy nachos….yum. When we had finished, the table behind us had also been waiting for some time to get their bill. The older man had to get up and find our server so that they could get the bill. I went there last with my friends & have no issues with service of server coryn she was excellent but overall restaurants appearance was very poor we sat in patio & were even asked by server & manager in 25 minutes when I got inside & told them we are Waiting for that long to add no lights were on they have TV but not on also we had to ask for at least lights to which manager said he will see what he can do "which was quite shocking to here" & then they finally figured out & it took them 20 minutes for that.
