I am a Thai Express and Kim Chi regular customer but this is my first time trying out Thai Express at this Collection Outlet location. Was I ever disappointed at the experience this time. There were many fast food counters at the Food Court but because I received some Thai Express coupons in the mail so I thought I will do Thai tonight instead of trying other counters. It didn’t started well because when I told the cashier I want to use a coupon for ‘any stir fried’ at $7.49 she told me I can only use it on the Friday special. Ok, which was fine, even though I had used the same coupon couple months ago at another location which had no problem at all. I then gave the cashier another coupon that gives 15% off any meal and ordered a Pai Tai. The cashier took my money and then go get my precooked food WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. I didn’t understand why she had to get my food ready for the cooks, she’s the cashier!! But I knew why after my plate was ready cause the guy in front of me didn’t use a coupon has way bigger portion. The cashier obviously treat people with coupon differently. I don’t even mind smaller portion cause I had other foods but what gross me out was she didn’t wash her hands after handling the till and go touched the food. She also didn’t give me a receipt!! My ordered of Pai Tai was wet and too sweet. Tasted awful . My friends had Greece and...
Read moreI like the food and I order the same thing each time I go and I pretty much only order from there when I'm at the outlet .. anyway, my rating doesn't so much reflect the food but the behaviour of the owner or manager. The cashier punched in my order incorrectly (different noodle) and when he found out he ordered the cooks to make a new one and save the incorrect one for the cashier so she "can see how she punched it in wrong." The look on her face was terrible to see, she was clearly embarrassed and upset, rightfully so. I mean, it's inappropriate to speak to an employee that way, but to do it in front of me was worse ..
Then the cook (I guess pretty scared) forgot to add spice to my food and as he handed it to me started to freak out and grab at it and I just quickly took it and told him not to worry.
They are just kids, can't believe they want to work in that kind of setting.
I think maybe next time I'll order elsewhere, because that incident did not sit well...
Read moreGet Thai food here periodically and its ok (not really Thai food but whatever). Bought 4 of the Pad Thai's yesterday and got them home and my 2 kids and wife couldn't eat it as it was to spicy (ordered no spice). Took three of them back today and the fellow said 'No, I made these myself and there was no spice'. I said but they said it was very spicy with dry noodles and they couldn't eat it, but he didn't care, he just didn't want to refund. My wife was ill after eating a small portion of hers as it was supposed to be Gluten free. He said again, that he prepared the food himself and it was 100% gluten free (no surprise). Won't go back to any Thai Express, I can get real Thai food for almost the same price. The guy got away with my 40 bucks, but now has lost a lot more by losing a customer. I've heard consistent negative feedback...
