I booked a reservation for 24 people back in February for this past Saturday for my parents 50th wedding anniversary dinner with the family. I confirmed on March 29th that we couldn't get an earlier time and said that we would keep the original booking. When we arrived on Saturday, we found out that they cancelled my reservation. I can guarantee, that I had not cancelled the dinner reservation. My guess as to what actually happened is someone phoned saying they had a reservation, but couldn't remember what number it was booked under and managed to cancel the reservation so they could phone and book in their party. Dealing with the staff was absolutely horrific. They kept trying to interrupt and talk over me. They did not offer to get a manager for me to speak to, not did they even try to resolve anything. To top it off, they continued to play down their own mistake. I had a confirmation of the reservation and never recieved a cancellation email. I will also point out, that this has disappointed my parents to the point, I have no idea if they will give this establishment their business. This whole fiasco has left an extremely poor impression to the point where I feel the need to put up this review. While I do not expect this to change anything, I felt fair warning should be left for anyone who wishes to use this location for large group...
Read moreI have to be honest we frequent Tony Romas quite often. The food size portions are pathetically small compared to what they used to be. Also when a person orders short ribs, the gravy they gave was powdered gravy out of a package. It’s supposed to be served with au jus. at least it used to be also, the other meal we ordered was a chicken meal that was supposed to come with a gravy. And again they tried to pass off beef gravy with a chicken meal. This will be the last time I visit Tony Romas the only thing that I enjoy on the menu now is served with beef gravy. I know that sounds petty, but I can’t believe the cost of that food and they serve powdered gravy with their meal. I didn’t realize Tony Romas turned into a roadside diner. Another time that we visited there we ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer and they came undercooked. when you bit into the undercooked chicken, you could see The bones itself were still blood red. And they said that’s the way they were supposed to be. I’ve been eating chicken my whole life and they said that blood red chicken bones are the way it’s supposed to be they must think I’m stupid but anyways it’s another reason why I will never go back. Disappointed after I even gave them a...
Read moreMy wife and myself were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We decided to go to Tony Romas Our waitress was wonderful. Very attentive and not over bearing. My wife ordered the ribs and chicken combo and enjoyed it I ordered the 3 piece bountiful ribs with two sides. When it was placed in front of me the first thing I noticed was it looked like 75% fat and 25% beef. For the price I was paying there was no way I was going to eat those. Yes, they did take them away and make me fresh and slightly better. No I didn't complain again. However like I said we were celebrating our anniversary. My wife ate while I watched and vise versa. Not good. Plus I was very surprised to hear that the restaurant doesn't offer any free dessert for people celebrating special occasion. Again for the money you are paying. I think I know now why on a Sunday night when in the past the place was packed now only had a few people at supper time. Just about forgot to mention that when we placed our orders our waitress informed us that they did not have either the brown or green beans in stock. How does a restaurant on a busy night run out of beans? Does anyone read these reviews from...
