Watta Sushi — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Ordered on SkipTheDishes with my friends, really impressed with how fresh all of the fish was, probably the freshest fish I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. It was also only half an hour after opening that we ordered. However I'm only reviewing to warn people to stay away from their miso soup and sunomono salad. The miso soup was just the powder miso and had no flavour..I paid $2 for hot water. My sunomono salad appeared to be large but was misleading. On the Skip app, there was no description on the ingredients that they top on the noodles which would have been nice because I was very disappointed. There were some of the usual toppings you find in the appetizer like fake crab, some cucumber and a shrimp but then is was just topped with fillers like carrots, cabbage, lettuce, and red and yellow peppers... ya... I don't know why. I would still go again because of how fresh the salmon was and I know this can be personal preference but the salmon sashimi was cut very thick and I got my bang for my buck due to the...

ABSOLUTELY THEE BEST!! I just moved down the street and OMG! I love this little hole in the wall place. You almost miss it if you're not paying attention.

Once inside it is painted black which gives a very nice ambiance. I wish the table and chairs were set up (prior to covid and hopefully after) as it is a very nice place to sit and have a quick lunch break. Not to mention the prices are perfect!

Picked up lunch from Watta today. Haven't had sushi from them for a few years, from what I remembered it was great ...today not so much. I ordered tuna goma ae, bakudan and a beach roll . The rolls were ok, but the goma ae was terrible. Don't know what kind of dressing was on it, but it was tasteless. I'll bring it home and put my own homemade sesame dressing on it so...
