Completely useless service. Unless your a Winnipeg Police office apparently. Walked in on buffet day - majority tables ordering buffet. I was with two friends - they told waitress buffet - I said I will order soup. Told brb from waitress. I proceeded to wait ten more minutes waiting. A group Wpg. Police officers come in - three do buffet three do menu order. Which the waitress was nice to bring them a menus. I was still waiting for mine. She came by asked again like to order - told brb - she brought them drinks, answered the phone, took payments. Our table had not even been asked for drinks or water yet. 20 minutes later waitress come our table - we try and order drinks and my Tia soup - once again waitress goes brb. She brought out the food to the Wpg Police - must be nice to get food when you go to this restaurant. Finally 35 minutes later waitress comes to ask what I want - I informed her was too late my friends had already finished buffet. Waitress responds with "As you can see we're busy" Pure attitude. I mentioned that she seemed to have time for the Wpg. Police who came in ten minutes after us and after you said brb. I mentioned you then had time to actually take the order form the table that just sat down beside us five minutes ago. The attitude from the waitress I mentioned it to the owner - she replied - lunch time you need be...
ย ย ย Read moreWe ordered Tom Yum fried rice and lemongrass (pad ta-kry).
Fried rice was a totally let down. It was soggy (the rice was wet, or at least not dried at the minimum level for fried rice). The flavor was normal no trace of Tom Yum. The mushroom is barely a touch here and there. It's not what you would expect for the typical fried rice.
Lemongrass has the right flavor but man, the beef was like rubber. They said everything tastes good when you're hungry. Definitely not the case here. I should also note that traditionally, pad ta-kry is served with white rice. Here, the rice doesn't go with it. But you can order the rice for $1.
Decent place with friendly staff. The price is really reasonable compared to the average in general. But I would not recommend it even...
ย ย ย Read moreWe got three orders of Saku sai moo and 1 Tom Yum Galangal with shrimp, both dishes super delicious!! Service was really good too. :)
However, I was disappointed when I was surprisingly charged 11.99 for each order of Saku sai moo- even though the menu stated it was only 6.99 per order! I understand that itโs a new menu item, but thatโs almost double than what was listed! :( My total cost ended up being ~$55 before tip, which is a lot higher than I anticipated when ordering just 4 dishes. Even when I asked for a price breakdown of my order, the prices still didnโt really add up.
I was really hoping to be a regular customer, but the prices displayed on their menu were very misleading to the amount I was charged. I guess this will just a once in a while...
