Drive thru was packed at lunch time as it should be. I decided to go in and order to go seeing as I was the only one ordering food at that time nobody else behind me. One fella was waiting for his order which he was already waiting when I walked in. I watched almost 20 cars get their drive thru orders before my order. I had to ask why so many drive thru orders were before mine? I asked for a manager to express my frustration. They sent over a regular employee to speak to me. I pointed out that more than 15 cars had been served before my at the counter order had even been considered. She proceeded to tell me "it's how our kitchen is set-up " seriously that shouldn't be how it's done!! It should be as the order tickets come in regardless of drive thru/ dine in or take-out. The people who showed up in the restaurant and had ordered after me were also appalled at the situation. I stood there waiting 10mins before my order was even assembled, but 15 cars were served in the drive thru. All I ordered was a cheeseburger happy meal, a chicken mcnugget happy meal and a single cheese burger. I also watched the drive thru girl stand there doing nothing, while garbage was all over the floor around her. I've had a similar experience with waiting a long time with a simple smoothie in the past. I'm the type of person that will give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Not this time Dundas St in woodstock ontario location. Your customer service is absolutely disgraceful and the cleanliness is disgusting as well. With all the technology that McDonald's has incorporated so far you'd think it'd be easier for them to do their jobs. Apparently not at this location. It's called Fast food for a reason and you McDonald's Dundas St Woodstock Ontario location have epically failed numerous times. I will be contacting head office in regards to my frustration at your location. Also change the fryer lard more often for Pete sakes!! Fries are to be golden not brown!! All you skip, door dash and Uber customers this is why your food is always cold. They don't care because you already paid for it. DO BETTER MCDONALD'S OF WOODSTOCK ONTARIO DUNDAS...
Read moreMy daughter has various allergies. When we've been to other fast food restaurants and asked questions about the specific ingredients of their products, we've either been presented with detailed lists of ingredients or been told, in a nice way, that ingredients can vary and that there are no guarantees. Here, when faced with the same question about their fries - relayed by a young member of staff to the manager in the back - the manager threw out her arms, shrugged her shoulders, and yelled, in the rudest way imaginable, "I dunno. Potatoes?" She then told us to go to a website which directed us to another website and did not present a clear and obvious answer to our questions.
We were able to glean, from a lengthy and frustrating internet search, that the burgers do not contain anything my daughter is allergic to, so we asked for a plain patty without the bun (which does contain ingredients she's allergic to). When we received our order, absolutely everything that could have been wrong, was wrong, including my daughter's plain burger patty being sandwiched between 2 burger buns.
Now you might read this and think that if my daughter has such allergy problems, we should not have taken her to McDonald's in the first place. You are absolutely right. The apathetic tone of the staff was set by the manager, and seems likely to be a result of inadequate training across the entire organization. We will never go to McDonald's again.
P.s. I asked for a chocolate milkshake, and they gave me vanilla. McDonald's, it's been nice, but it's...
Read moreUnacceptable Behavior from McDonald's Manager I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the McDonald's .The behavior of the manager on duty was completely unacceptable and left me appalled.
I visited the restaurant during the lunch rush, and despite the crowd, I remained patient while waiting for my order. However, when I received my meal, it was incorrect. I approached the counter politely to have it corrected, but the manager, responded with hostility. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, they were dismissive and rude, making me feel like an inconvenience.
When I explained the mistake, the manager interrupted me multiple times and raised their voice, accusing me of ordering incorrectly. I was shocked by the lack of basic courtesy and respect. It's one thing to deal with a busy shift, but it's another to treat customers with such disdain.
As if this wasn't enough, I witnessed the manager speaking harshly to the staff as well, creating a tense and uncomfortable environment. It's clear that this individual lacks the necessary leadership and customer service skills to manage a restaurant.
This experience has completely soured my perception of McDonald's. I expect better from such a well-known brand. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and appropriate action is taken to ensure that no other customer has to endure such poor treatment. Until I hear that significant changes have been made, I will not be returning to this location and will advise others to...
