[response to owner] I am not sure if you have read my first review and I actually had a great experience. I kept my original feedback in the review. Please stop disregarding people’s experiences because I was present and witnessed inappropriate handling of food. Your food is great but I am not trying to get sick because of your staff member. You’re a business owner and of course you will try to protect your image and say you went through your camera. You weren’t present and clearly you don’t know what day and time we came. Next time, I’ll record my encounter. Please keep on top of your food handling as it seems that one of your staff members does not understand health and safety protocols. You don’t want your loyal clients to get sick because of this one individual. I have seen your other staff members and they change their gloves and are on top of it. I will delete my negative reviews once I see a change in the handling of food.
[new review] Changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star.
I’ve repeatedly witnessed an employee at this establishment handling food in an extremely unsanitary manner. She wears the same gloves to clean, mop, check out customers, handle money, and then make food—without changing them. Most recently, I saw her press down on a falafel wrap with the same contaminated gloves she had just used for various non-food tasks.
My partner has had to remind her multiple times to change her gloves, which should be basic food safety. This isn’t a one-time issue; it’s happened on multiple visits. It’s both disgusting and concerning. The management needs to properly train staff on hygiene—or replace those who refuse to follow food safety standards.
Would not recommend until this issue is resolved.
[old review] Chicken Shawarma Plate and the Stuffed Baked Potato were absolutely delicious! This my second time getting food from here and I absolutely love it. The owner takes a lot of pride in his food and ensures that food is perfection before serving it to customers. You can clearly tell this restaurant is his passion!

Read moreMy family and I were in the woodstock area looking at some real estate options. As we were driving back home, my family kept saying they were hungry so the closest options to where we were was Tim Hortons or Shawarma T. The safe bet is Tim's, but I wanted something different for once. My wife is usually OK with your standard "canadian" shawarma, but we didn't realize this was an authentic Shawarma restaurant. We were already inside so decided to go with it and to sit down and eat as eating in a car with a 1 and 5 year old can be tough. We were not dissapointed! We were greeted by Ali, with small sample cups of lentil soup. I ordered a Saj chicken Shawarma and my wife split a kebob chicken shawarma plate with the kids. So my wife is horrible with any kind of spice level, not able to handle ground black pepper. She found the kebob too spicy, and of course our 1 and 5 year old can't handle that either. They were kind enough to give us a small plate of the standard chicken shawarma chicken which was perfect for my wife and kids. While eating, Ali brought us a plain Saj bread, which my 1 and 5 year old gobbled down by making their own little wraps with the chicken they had given us. As we were finishing up, they brought us some kind of dessert I don't know the name of, which our 1 year old basically fought us to eat. The service we got from Ali and this restaurant was above and beyond anything we have ever recieved, which is why I'm writing this insanely long review, as this place deserves your time. The flavors of the chicken, hummus, saj bread, were incredible. I haven't tasted food this flavourful at any shawarma restaurant I have been to. If I lived closer to woodstock I would eat here weekly. As we were leaving I noticed they had Baklava, which I have never tried and Ali said was made fresh today. I purchased a small box and our family ate it all up on the way home, asking for more. Give this place a try. You won't be...

Great vegetarian options, falafel is amazing and so is the chickpea soup!! 10/10 service, the staff are always making recommendations based on what we like. The deserts are delicious too. Cant go wrong!!!

We have come here at any opportunity to have shawarma. However, tonight October 7,2024 at 7:15 pm we had the worst possible experience. We came in for a chicken shawarma Saj wrap which we’ve ordered over 20 times before and are always greeted with a smile. The guys who served us before were customer service oriented ! Today, the young girl at the counter went over to her computer and said okay so you want the “traditional chicken shawarma”. I didn’t know this term so I looked up at the menu to confirm “is this with French fries on the wrap” and she answered yes. I said no I don’t want French fries on my wrap. She kept insisting I had to pay $1.00 extra for having a wrap without fries because then it was a “custom wrap”. I said sure… if that’s what you have to do ? Me and my partner tried to explain very politely that we usually just ask for a chicken shawarma wrap so I’m not sure what to say. She just stood at the till and refuse to make us our food ?! It got really weird to be honest and we left because of her unwillingness to make a simple wrap ?! It was very uncomfortable. This employee does not care about your business and does not deserve a job. Also the produce, garlic and hummus has never ever looked so bad. It’s sad when you hire people and your business goes to shit because of their carelessness.
