Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated with the Service
I am beyond frustrated and annoyed with my experience at this Tim Hortons location. Earlier today, I called ahead to ask whether they were participating in the Ryan Reynolds scrambled eggs promotion. The woman who answered the phone assured me they were, and when I asked how long it would be available, she said until 11:00 AM. I explained that I would be walking and it would take me 45 minutes to get there, arriving around 10:50 AM, and asked if there would still be some available. She assured me that as long as I arrived before 11:00, I’d be able to order it.
After walking nearly an hour to get there, I arrived at 10:50 AM—just as planned. However, when I tried to order, I was told by the cashier that I had to wait until drive-thru orders were completed because they only had enough ingredients to make one more serving. Even though I was physically inside the store before some of the drive-thru customers had even arrived, I was told they had priority.
I tried to explain that I had called ahead and was told this wouldn’t be an issue, and that I had walked specifically for this. The cashier responded, “It doesn’t matter, we’re not serving them in 10 minutes so we stopped making some of the ingredients, and drive-thru gets first say.” I couldn’t believe how dismissive and unprofessional that response was. As a paying customer, I should receive equal service regardless of how I choose to order—drive-thru or walk-in.
To be told one thing over the phone, only to be completely dismissed upon arrival, is unacceptable. The attitude and lack of care from the staff were incredibly disappointing. I wasted nearly 90 minutes walking back and forth, all for nothing, simply because this location can’t provide consistent or respectful customer service.
Do better. This...
Read moreI've only ever been to the two Tim Hortons on Talbot Street in St. Thomas and only as a drive through customer. East talbot street Tim Hortons has a fairly decent drive through however the product availability and service are lacking. They almost never have the two donuts I usually get (sour cream glazed and double chocolate) and the one time they 'had them both' I pulled up to the payment window, paid via debit and afterward they told me they didn't have the one available. I was very disappointed in the service but was in a hurry and didn't have time to process a refund so I ended up with a donut I didn't even like. If it happened once I could understand, but they are ALWAYS lacking a variety. The Tim Hortons at West End Talbot always has what I want, but their drive through is a terribly cramped design that blocks in anyone parked in the parking lot and is...
Read moreThis particular Tim Hortons is the worst in the city, they always seem to run out of some of the doughnuts and other pastry products. Just the other day they didn't have the bagel I wanted so in return I order a cheese croissant. That would be perfectly ok if the croissant wasn't totally under proofed! It seems like every other time I visit this location they cannot properly fulfill my order! "Im sorry we don't have that item." "We ran out." "We don't have that kind available." If any other restaurant ran out of an item they contact nearby stores, imagine if McDonalds started telling people they ran out of McNuggets, people would be fuming! It's a real pain getting in the drive thru just to be told they can't make a...
