Went here for the first and I can definitely say my last time too. Ticket prices were okay but the most annoying issue anyways is that the screen which the movie was being played on looked as if you let a toddler who’s been playing with their food rub their hands all over the screen. I don’t even know how it’s possible but the screen looked greasy as hell- seats were okay ish but honestly rather tight like you can’t even turn the slightest without your elbow or arm hitting or rubbing against someone’s drink. The stair way also, be careful because it was so slippery?? Not just my family but a couple other people I saw were tripping up and nearly down the steps because of how slippery they were. Surprisingly the only thing more uncomfortable than the seats was the food area. Popcorn is over salty, and just the area where they prepare everything is not clean. The trays are old candy boxes or these like crates?? Which are madly inconvenient to carry and store when not in use when watching the movie. Walking out from the movie as well I saw idk these shaker things I guess they’re to flavour your popcorn which is fine but the flavouring was alllll over the side counter- the movie is more than an hour long and how come that still wasn’t enough time for one of the staff to wipe that? 💀 popcorn was nasty but I felt more sick to my stomach seeing that mess not gonna lie. They really need to clean the place up and hopefully in the future renovate their seats. If you’re fine with all that have fun but if you want an actual enjoyable experience to relax as well I’d suggest going to silver city by CF Masonville mall or go to kicthener. Or rent the movie you want at home at least it’s...
Read moreThe staff are really nice and cheerful. Which is impressive since they work in a rather sad environment. I've gone to this theatre since I was a teen, when it was first built and I gotta say, the theatre and I are both starting to show our age. I went to see Barbie here when it came out and the place hadn't changed in 20 years. I'm not exaggerating. I left Woodstock in 2003 and the same "love tester", temporary tattoo and 25-cent key chain machines were still there this year! You can't even use them anymore, but they were still there! The screens with the menus had the same 90s graphics giving Rocco's Modern Life and Clipart vibes (told you, I'm old) and honestly the good selection leaves a lot a be desired. The theatre itself was also still exactly the same..... which is not great. Still sticky, still a little musty. Chair cushions are barely cushions anymore.
I loved this theatre when it opened because it was so much bigger and fancier than the Capitol was (which I also loved because, again, I'm old) and Woodstock needed a nice new movie theatre. Sadly, that seems to be the case again. Considering it is one of the few options in this area, I would love to see it revamped and renovated! The staff are lovely and do their best given what they're working with but it's time for an upgrade. Until then, I'm sorry to say, I will make the trip to London or Kitchener if only for the recliner seats, with the bonus of...
Read moreThe theater was nice and clean, but the seating was very uncomfortable, the seats were very small, like child setting and the drink holders were so far back that I finally had to set my drink on the floor just so I had some place to put my arms. There’s also no leg room, I’m not super tall only 6’1” but I couldn’t even put my legs straight out in front of me. When the movie first started I hung my legs over the chair in front of me trying to get comfortable but they soon feel asleep so I just kept them off to the side of me throughout the entire movie. And I don’t quite understand the no free refills on a large popcorn, all the movie theaters that I’ve ever been to offer that, you do have it on the large soda but I’d bet that most people don’t take you up on that very often. I travel all over the united states for work, over 250 days out of the year and I see a lot of movies. I normally enjoy the small town movie theaters but I have to say this one isn’t on the top of my list to return too. By the time the movie was over my neck and back were stiff from the position I had to sit in. My suggestion is to give those seats back to the airlines and replace them with real...
