28th Oct 2023 Revised Review ~ After leaving my previous negative review on Wed 25th Oct, to my surprise the manager actually took the time to call me on my mobile number supplied on my complaint email, the following morning and offered a full apology as well as offering to replace the meal I had paid for. It is great to see that Chickaros Slough clearly cares and wants to offer great service!, this is rare in todays service industry, so I am happy to amend my previous 1 star review to 4 stars, based on the effort the management made to regain my custom. Thank You. 25/10/2023 Service without a smile ~ How to lose customers within 60 seconds! Management ~ I have ordered from your restaurant a few times before with no issues, but today was the total opposite experience. Stepped in after 5.20pm Wed 25th Oct to order a takeaway, the restaurant was empty and the waitresses were all sat down on a booth chatting away to each other, as I approached the counter I told them I wanted a takeaway, felt I disturbed their personal chat session as one of the girls got up and passed me a takeaway menu without a smile and sat back down to continue their chat, I told her I was ready to order and was directed to another girl to take order, waited for my order and again when it arrived 20 mins later just passed my order without a simple thank you, never felt so unwelcome when spending my money within a business. So to the food within the mixed starter for 4, the chef just decided to over smoother each meat in the different sauces, as we have had this dish before it was never previously served literally drowned in sauces, which made it not tasty at all, a waste of £25 and food, was going to complain but choose not to call as it looked like no management were there anyway based on what I experienced when walking in. Feedback wether management reply or not, people come back to restaurants for a combination of 2 things good food and friendly service, unfortunately non experienced today and based on this you lose a repeat customer.

It would be beneficial for the restaurant to consider featuring more relatable personalities or engaging stars who can authentically represent the brand and its offerings. Price: One aspect to note is that the prices are slightly higher than average for similar establishments. While the quality of the food and service can justify this to some extent, it may deter some budget-conscious diners. Overall: Chickaros is a great choice for delicious grilled chicken in a lively setting. Despite the high prices and some room for improvement in social media representation, the tasty food and welcoming atmosphere make it worth a visit. I’m looking forward to returning to try more of their menu!

honestly the worst food and service i’ve had in awhile, don’t waste your time or money here, the shop itself is pretty by eye but don’t be fooled the food is horrible and bland and mocktails are full of syrup it’ll make you gag! we ordered one of the specials and asked for it to be extra spicy and a beef burger with just ketchup and chicken goujons, we received the burger drenched in ketchup and mustard and the special wasn’t spicy at all it was so sweet instead & the chicken was so plain and the batter was so mushy inside. Honestly no flavour in anything it was horrible. We then spoke to the manager and she apologised but didn’t replace our meal or even take it off the bill even though we didn’t eat any of it as it was so sweet and not spicy at all, she said that it was our fault for not asking for spicy but we clearly asked for it to be spicy and not sweet she didn’t even ask the waitress or remake it for us, in the end she charged us full price and took one of the drinks off instead even though the drinks cost £5 and specials are around £15. We didn’t eat any of it and payed and left. It was ashame as we drove a whole hour away to try this food and we left in disappointment and just felt so unwelcomed, we ended up getting mcdonald’s on the way back and may i just add i have never appreciated a fish o fillet burger from mcdonald’s before like i have today.

3rd visit here and this visit left a bitter taste the overall experience for me was below subpar I ordered 2 different starters and 2 mains for me and my wife however everything was lacklustre about it I’ve been here on two occasions before and the food service and overall atmosphere was really good however tonight was utter disappointment ordered battered wings doused in volcano sauce however found the wings to be stone cold but in hot piping sauce when i complained to the server she stated one moment I will raise it for you however failed to do so then came the mains everything was okay however found the gravy with one main to be very watery and tangy almost as if it was off or out of date in terms of service most staff there was engaged in deep conversation amongst themselves which left me constantly having to get up to gain their attention minus the one worker (female with braces) who took our order and assisted with paying the bill she was probably the only one who was actually working with a smile and provided great service I’m not one to usually complain a lot but this was like the final nail in the coffin the wings were taken off my bill (thank you) as a form of compensation overall to summarise my experience I don’t think I’ll be coming back here in a hurry anytime soon many better places for the price and service on offer one to watch out for

Me and the mrs decided to try this place out. I ordered the Kebabish Mania and mrs ordered the chicken dinner. We also ordered 5 battered wings with volcano flavour… trust me no volcano about them and this flavour was recommended by their waiter… as we bit into 2 but didn’t eat them whole, when asked to have them replaced by with the naga flavour as they literally were not hot was given 3 wings (what a joke)… now for the mains served on a cold plate so by the time you are a quarter way through the food has gone cold… the Yorkshire puddings in the chicken dinner were rubbery as if they were pre-heated in a microwave and the creamy mash was more stale than creamy… moving on to drinks… Pepsi max came out in a glass £2.75 and was flat like it was poured from a 2 litre bottle… asked for it to be changed but not much improvement second time round… and I’m not even going to talk about the portion of salad and the small sauce dipping bowls they serve you coleslaw and steamed veg in… Will never return and would not recommend anyone else to this place not worth paying £65-£70 for two people… added photos for more info and our left overs
