Food: 5* High quality izakaya styled with many interesting dishes. Particularly enjoy on all our visits the oden, vegetable tempura, striploin steak and sashimi selection.

Price: 5* Price matches quality.

Sake: 5* Good selection of sakes by the bottle and smaller portions and a very tempting premium sake 2.5 hours free flowing selection for those looking for a little more. We appreciate and a special mention must be given for the higher quality sakes served at this place.

Service: 3* Overall, an outstanding experience on all our 5 to 7 visits. Wait staff, supervisors and managers. However, a series of unpleasant encounters on Halloween dinner night with 2 specific service staff marred our fav sake restaurant in HK. Attempts to lie to cover up missed orders. It's perfectly understandable if some orders are missed on a busy night but to lie about it when another colleague admitted that they never placed the order crosses the line. "overly confident" (condescending tone in my opinion ) when we tried to order an item which apparently was switched from the menu until we managed to find an old photo of it from our previous visits. sarcastic comments urging us to finish up as their cleaner needs to go back home (this was at the same time our table neighbours on both sides were served with freshly prepared complimentary dried fish dishes and sake - both tables seem to be friends with the staff or friends of the restaurants). A request to convey our comments to the manager never happened as we waited a full 15 mins as the staff tried to find that person but never showed up.

If you’re looking for a free flow sake place with great food, this is the restaurant for you. They have outdoor seating where you can bring your beloved fur companions. We came for the anniversary special where it was omakase meal with free flow sake. It ended up being around $800 per person. There were quite a few sakes to choose from and they arrange it according to sweetness, the free flow also includes plum wine and beer.
