Second Draft — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

It was a weekday so wasn’t much people. We just had a couple of drinks and also tried their set menu. Great beer and food. But the only thing I’m concerned is the service. Because they had a promotion when we were there that time. And we ordered 2 classic but in the end when we paid they said one was an IPA so we had to pay more because the IPA wasn’t on promotion. And we order the set menu that came with a beer and since we haven’t finish ours we ask to have it later. After awhile we wanted to a question about the beer, we called the staff, she didn’t even bother to listen to the whole sentence, she just say "ok, will get you your beer “and left. I mean how rude is that, I was about to asking a question and she just assume I was asking for the beer and just left. 🙄🙄( main point is the restaurant wasn’t even busy) So I’m thinking if she was even listen to my previous order that is why they gave me an IPA instead of a classic. I used to have good experiences coming in here with a friend for a flight of draft beers. However, upon my experiences last sunday, I will not come back again. Alongside with many reviews here, DO NOT EAT here! The carbonara priced at 148, pasta is supermarket standard, sauce is pre-made, and the amount of bacon is pathetic. Mushroom with Asparagus (138HKD) was over sweet, and despite requesting not too much oil. It is still way too oily. It is a rather shameless business that would want to charge a service charge, while the waiter is walking around like a tourist, and we have not been served even a cup of water for the one hour. Second Draft is a contemporary gastropub that recently relocated from their original place in Tai Hang over to Fashion Walk in CWB, sharing premise with Little Bao and facing Victoria Park. Opening hours are now 3-12am (weekdays) and 12-12am (weekends).

Bartenders are knowledgeable, friendly and can recommend beers for you to try if you unsure. Have to admit as well Young Master Brewery is making our best locally brewed stouts here in Hong Kong and it is not even close. They always have at least 1-2 on offer, including a really good espresso based stout that I tried at their new place at Fashion Walk recently. Just really nice.
