Cotton Lane Café — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Googled the place, after the good reviews, decided to treat myself to "steak and eggs".

After many attempts to upsell me many items, I managed to order. The steak and eggs arrived. 1 egg. Try changing the menu to " Steak and egg".

The steak (decent quality) was totally cold. I mean actually refrigerator cold in the middle. The one egg was room temperature, like it had been cooked 30 mins before hand. I asked the nice staff member to heat up or cook meat better, so they took the plate away, but then returned the cold egg. 5 mins later the meat returned, still cold. I ate most of it, apart from a cold fried egg.

Coffee was nice. After me moaning about the meal, they offered me another coffee, on the house, which I didn't want. Maybe you could of taken the first coffee off the bill of you wanted to help. Some of the other food is probably better, but I...

COTTON LANE Is a Bakery Coffee Shop that serves good coffee, lunch, high-tea, wine and even sell their own chilli sauce under one roof. The decor is bright, clean and comfortable. The staff working there is super friendly. And they’re very industrious in maintaining comfort and cleanliness for the patrons. Food is delicious and coffee is aromatic.

The only drawback is it’s situated up a short street from HSBC in Happy Valley. There’s scaffold outside recently due to remedial work upstairs which obscures the shop front !!

Lovely gem at the top of Min Fat Street. Passionate cooks with fusion in mind for Japanese and French. Menu is unique and each ingredient is chosen with care.
