Unfortunately not great. Starters and mains ordered, one starter served with one of the mains to begin with. Had to chase and ask where the other starters were and staff seemed to not care. Beef satay was tough and not edible. Pad Thai- overwhelmingly tasted of fish sauce, was not flat noodles that pad Thai should be, and really didn’t have much flavour. Pork red curry was tough and lacking in flavour. One staff member (mei mei) listened to feedback and genuinely seemed to care but others were not interested. In fact a female chef was leaving whilst we were chatting to mei mei. She was provided the feedback in realtime, yet clearly didn’t really care for the feedback. Read moreThis was my first Thai food experience. The food was good, but I’m not a fan of garlic! Apparently Thai food is often flavored by garlic. (For this reason 4/5 stars!) I did enjoy the pork fried rice and a delicious noodle dish with shrimp; neither of which were overly seasoned with garlic. The prices were reasonable, selection good with attentive service. I would recommend bringing a jacket if unable to find a table inside. It’s January and quite cold! The heat lamps were not adequate unless seated directly under one. I went again to Na Thai today and was very happy to catch up with the owner, Mr. In, who was as friendly as always and still to the helm since the restaurants opening a decade ago.
The food was as delicious as last time, and I had a little excursion in Thailand, while remaining in Hong Kong... strongly recommended!
They painted the walls with some lovely Thai motives, which adds to the character of the place and makes one feel like in a Thai...
