Jardin de Jade — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I’d like to give an overall 3.5.

Everything we have tried wasn’t bad, but was not impressive / 100% to our taste either… However, you can see the heart and thoughts put in the cuisine design and plating.

The seating is very spacious and comfy, one down side is that the AC was too weak so we were actually sweating during the meal. The tea wasn’t that great either, it was rather bland.

Huge portion, so overall not too bad value for money. Service was alright, they were helpful enough.

We don’t dislike the restaurant and would probably go back and try...

Jardine de Jade is a nice place for dining, the restaurant is cozy, and the Chinese food here is great too. Visited here on weekdays for dinner, and there is no waiting at all. The restaurant is spacious, and the staff gave us a big table even just for two people, that gave us good privacy and a good place to chat. Food from Jardine de Jade never disappointed you, used to visit City Plaza branch , but this one also with great quality. The price here is reasonable, as the quality here is great. Chosen for a reasonably serious wine dinner, which the staff took in their stride and didn't charge corkage. The place was very quiet for a Thursday night but that didn't bother us. The appetizer dishes were all really good and classic Shanghai. The two main dishes were outstandingly good - grilled beef cubes with a slight spice followed by a huge braized pork knuckle with the bone in, amazingly succulent soft skin and wonderful slow-cooked pulled pork flesh underneath.
