Yoshinoya (Sun Hung Kai Centre) — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Surprisingly more expensive than I expected. So Alipay has this $5 coupon (for purchases over $60) as part of the CVS program. So I thought, cool, I'll just buy 2 lunch sets. Turns out even the afternoon tea sets start at around $32+ and that only gets you a beef bowl. So after adding any side dish (poached egg, grilled fish, chicken skewer) your bill comes out to around the mid-$50s. So then you add 2 side dishes which takes you to around $70. All to save $5. The location is a bit of a walk from any of the MTR stations (Exhibition or Wanchai) and in a building that's out if the way. It's still fast food, so you either order at one of the machine kiosks or wait for someone from the kitchen to come out and act as a cashier. You can tell it's understaffed (3 people). Food is what you would expect (mushy rice, stringy hotpot beef slices). About the only thing I liked was the free packs of picked ginger, which they guard with their life behind the serving counter. Is there a better way of spending $70 for lunch?...
