Michelin star price and worse than dai pai dong taste. I regretted this meal very much.
Half of the menu is listed at market price, sign of a tourist trap? The dishes with price listed are well above market price. Another sign is that the place is half empty and there are hardly any local patrons.
I seriously considered walking out and I should've trusted my guy instinct. But I thought I'll give it a try. Maybe the execution will blow my mind. Blew my mind it did for how bad it is.
Two simple dishes. Jellyfish appetizer, Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables. Jellyfish were not fresh and have lost the crunch in texture. Just sad, flat, and floppy. Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables is usually a safe dish. How can you screw up braised pork belly! Normally, the preserved vegetable has a strong natural flavor and is seasoned on the sweet side. Braised pork should melt in your mouth. In this overpriced version, the meat is dry and the taste is bland. Will not...
Read moreIt's sad to see the scenario is getting popular in HK. No body cares! Eleven of us went there for lunch today. In the 35-40 minutes after we had ordered our dim-sum/food, we had to follow-up 3 times to ask about the dishes. In the 1st and 2nd time, the excuses given by the reluctant waitresses were: "they need time to custom made the dim sum. . .". Forty minutes later, we received an answer the 3rd time: ". . . the computer had no record of our order". This was actually a fare-well lunch for one of our colleague. Due to time constrain and other working obligation, the party started to dismiss slowly. Personally I feel, we will not go there again for any celebration or memorable purposes in 2018. . . . . At least, the restaurant seemed not a choice for...
Read moreHaven't been there for a few years. As my memory, this restaurant served authentic Chiu Chow food. Dining with family last night, the food and the service, both of them are suck. Food tasted bland, not fresh, and i can't even feel I was eating Chiu Chow's food. One waitress tried to take away a plate of vegetable and said that was not for us. We told her that was one of our order. Then the other waiter came and explained to her she made a mistake. They were arguing just in front of us and still holding the plate of vegetable. Finally the waitress understood and still keep moaning while she went away. We kept the plate untouched because we were sure it had a lot of spit on top of the food...
