The Hari Hotel is a relatively new hotel in Wan Chai, and there are two restaurants in it.
I really love the interior design of The Hari, classy yet welcoming.
And the “reception/lobby” area of Lucciola Restaurant & Bar definitely got my heart as a book lover. I would definitely like to have a nice cup of coffee and read a book in one of these cozy and homey corners.
Regardless of the grand interior design and polite welcoming so far, my first encounter at Lucciola Restaurant & Bar wasn’t really nice. The waitress first accused me of not replying the confirmation email she sent (less than 24 hours prior the booking during weekend; and I was wondering why didn’t you phone me if such confirmation is that crucial), and “Your booking is actually 12:45” when I got there at 12:40…
The bakery items were pretty standard — crackers, bread with herbs, olive oil with vinegar.
My friend and I didn’t opt for the set lunch and ordered an antipasti, a pasta and a main to share. Salad is only enjoyable to me when there is enough, but not excessive dressing. The baby spinach leaf and red radish was nicely soaked in the honey and white balsamic vinegar. The roast walnut added a bit of chewing work and texture to the salad. The peorino romano cheese was superb in seasoning the salad. The three soft boiled quail eggs were very delicious too!
We waited for another 45 minutes after the salad was served for this pasta to be served. Nevertheless, it was a very delicious pasta dish. The penne pasta was very al dente, and thoroughly mixed with the hot ‘Nduja spicy pork sauce. The pieces of minced meat and dry ricotta cheese made superb toppings for the pasta. Yum!
The main of Amberjack fillet was surprisingly delicious too! Nicely roasted with a crispy skin wrapped thick and fresh amberjack meat. The lemon and mint dressing added great flavour to the fish and sides. We definitely noticed the fresh green peas as there were only 3 in the dish.
Definitely visiting again to try out the pizza and other...

Located in the Hari hotel - Lucciola is a luxurious Italian 🇮🇹 restaurant that offers Italian dishes with a modern twist 😋. I loved the romantic 🥰 atmosphere of this, and loved the food even more! . Read moreLucciola fell short of what one would expect from a 4/5 star hotel dining. Very limited parking (maybe 3 parking spots). 3hr compli parking for over $1500 spending, otherwise $80/hr. Ridiculous. Waiter gave us a lunch set menu only realizing it after we ordered and we had to redecide everything - minor point, but definitely not 4/5 star We were a party of 4 and told waitress we will share all dishes, but still with every course (we ordered 5 courses), we had to repeatedly tell waitress to bring us extra dishes to proportioned our sharing. Steak was tender but served at room temperature, not served fresh, not sizzling hot. We ordered scampi appetizer but no tools were provided to crack the shells, so 1/3 of the scampi could not be eaten and were left to waste. Dessert was below average, served canteen style and not made to order. Ice cream was served melted.
Will not go back again. 5 star pricing, 3 star service, 3 star food quality. Would not recommend to anyone. There are lots of better choices at Wanchai.
p.s. I never trust OpenRxxx reviews because they receive advertising income from restaurants. Conflict...
