Rock up hungry and tired after a full day walk around theme park and so on.
The clock showed 8:20 pm which we have not much time to eat but we give this place a shot anyway.
Well I'm glad that I did, the waiter that served us (Andy) mentioned how they are closing at 9pm in a polite way in which we are ok cause we know what to order based on the menu poster at the front.
We quickly sat inside very spacious space and grab our orders. The male waiter (Andy) as well as the lady are very friendly and patient.
We ordered the baked fried rice, spam egg noodle, bbq pork scramble egg on rice and pork chop with black pepper sauce on rice. Off course we also ordered their hk milk tea ☕️🧉
Also ordered their French toast for take away just in case we got hungry again. All comes up $260 i think which quite decent.
Dish come on our table very very quick and ....
My gosh their pork chop black pepper sauce is out of this world, the sauce yummmm
Baked fried rice with chicken steak also quite decent.
Noodle, I never thought such a simple dish served with spam can be this tasty.
Last but not least their famous scramble egg with char siew or bbq pork yum just yum
We like devour the whole thing in 15 mins or less which show how good their foods are.
Reading back the review boy I must have got lucky as there are some review mentioned about bad service etc but not in my watch.
looking forward to be back again and oh make sure to bring cash or loaded octopus card as they don't accept credit card.
Update 9th Dec 2024 We went back again to have their black pepper pork chop and as well as other dishes such as pork chop with spring onion oil.
Taste really good and I can say I will miss this dish when I flew out of hongKong.
Again the capital cafe crew at Wanchai are really friendly especially Andy and that lady which always check on us with the food.

Read moreSo glad there is joint here serving scrambled eggs just like Australian Dairy company in Jordan. Bing Sutts are the trend these days and CC has been here since 2009 or longer. The English name is super confusing as openrice calls it capital cafe but on google it is Chrislly.
The joint here is mainly black and white in decoration, and maybe most of the furnishing and tiles are new, it felt so surreal, almost like a set from a film studio.
The uniform worn by the staff was white and new, the whole experience sitting there was everything was sharply contrasted.
Anyway back to the food, the menu is slightly clearer than ADC, they even have Halal beef too.
The staff were not pushy for us to order the food quickly, and gave us plenty of time to decide on what drinks to order.
One of the staff was extremely helpful, shifting the plates and collecting the plates to make space etc.
I was quite surprised the macaroni cooled down quite quickly, I assumed after I ate my scrambled eggs, it would still be hot.
The scrambled eggs had that consistent delicate texture, slightly gel form, it was not salty and complemented well with the ham.
The toast was thick cut and nicely buttered with salted butter.
As for the macaroni, it is just a filler like my friend said, when I was...
Read moreThis is my 2nd visit as a tourist and am rly disappointed. I came here becoz I rly dislike the whole tension & rude waiters at Australian diary co. And I was so glad when I found out about this place with the same standard of scramble eggs n even better topped with truffle. Service during 1st visit was so good (at least better than most Hk cafe).
Today, when I came in w my bf, they were rude when taking orders, served the wrong noodles to my bf then asked my bf if he “woken up or not?”, and when we finished they cleared our plates n asked if we are done (which I’m not done drinking my drink yet) and if we are done “Thank you” (go off ardy).
Not just the service that disappoint me, the eggs was not nice, the truffles has no smell, no taste, I rly doubt that black stuff on the eggs is truffle. Now I rather go back to Australia dairy...
