Finding good banh mi in Hong Kong is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It is incredibly rare and often requires a trek out to a far neighborhood that's not too conveniently located.
Having made plans in Kowloon City for the afternoon, we decided to stop by Banh Mi Bakery for a quick lunch. It had been on our list for some time. At opening, 11:30am, it wasn't too full yet but there were already dining parties seated to beat the lunch rush.
They have a board with several banh mi options, listing the top 5 favorites. We opted for the slow-cooked (sous vide) pork and pate banh mi with iced Vietnamese coffee, along with lemongrass chicken, BBQ pork with cold rice vermicelli. Will def come back if I'm near Kowloon city. My friend ate double the amount of what a normal person would eat, so the price was more expensive per person, but 10/10...

It’s very clean, and i appreciate they have nice touches like sanitisers and cleaning tables thoroughly. though not as brightly lit as some review pictures may have depicted. I do feel that $140 for a normal banh mi with set coffee is just not very good value this side of town, considering banh mi is essentially a...
