Shun Hing Restaurant — Restaurant in Kowloon

We had breakfast here and it was quite a funny experience.

Sinxe last night we had a talk about locals in HKG being rude, however so far it's the opposite from iur experience.

The waitress had difficulties understanding us for our order even though she's tryinh her best. So came in the young guy who patiently itirated what the resraurant hadto offer for breakfast. Mind you this guy was done eating and was about to bouncebut srill assistedus. He is very fluent in english and he heloed a lot. We got full because of him.

When we were about to eat, we wre looking for the utensils and can't find it nowhere. This couple across our table saw our oredicament and showed us an examole on how to access the utensils. It was just under the table inside a sliding slot, coool. Hahaha. People were lookong at us as I niticed and seems like we were really standing out hahaha. One of my good experience in HKG and I'm looking forward to having more.

Edit: In case you're interested, food is good and their egg tart is ma favrite. It has a very distintive taste, not too sweet but...

Day one in Kowloon and for breakfast I had the traditional satay beef with instant noodle with hot dog, ham, egg, roll and choice of drink. Costs $37HKD + $3 for cold drink (remember they will always charge for cold). Milk tea rating 9 out of 10. Many breakfast combos and bun sandwiches to choose from and lunch specials.. I'll probably be back again because its close to the hotel 😂 They also have a bakery outside.

We were staying in the Regal Oriental Hotel close by, but wanted to experience a real Chinese breakfast. Walking past this on the way to the metro we saw this was filled with locals which is always a good sign. The menu is in Chinese , however a waiter ( we later found out was Matthew) gave us a hand written English copy and advised us of what to have. Pork with noodles for one of us beef with noodles for the other , and a side plate of sausage, ham and egg with a sweet bun and coffee each and this came to $HK 72 ….£7.50 for two people.
