ChaTraMue (新城市廣場店) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

🇭🇰 Sha Tin 沙田｜ChaTraMue Cafe

I think most of you have heard of ChaTraMue but did you know apart from their signature Thai tea 🫖 drinks and dessert, they also have a cafe for Thai meals!? It is at Sha Tin and I tried some of their Thai 🇹🇭 dishes, as well as their famous desserts! Here are what I’ve ordered:

•𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 The curry is rich in coconut 🥥 flavour, making it extra delicious! The bread 🍞 is soft and soaks a lot of the curry which makes every bite fulfilling!

•𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐦 𝐘𝐮𝐦 𝐊𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞 The sauce is top notch! 🤩 I love the Tom Yum Kung sauce a lot! It also fits with the shrimps 🍤 and further elevated the taste!

•𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞 Their dessert is on another level! The crepe cake is thick with layers but they are so soft that it practically melts in your mouth! 🥹 The Thai tea sauce is also bringing out the sweet and creamy taste of the Thai tea 🫖 flavour!

•𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 Another tasty dessert that they are famous for is their souffle pancake! 🥞 It is thick but you will realise that it is very soft as soon as you bite into it! The Thai tea powder and the sugar cube on top makes it even sweeter and submerging every bite of the pancake in it feels so satisfying! 🤤

•𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞 & 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤 𝐓𝐞𝐚 As for their drinks, I love their ChaThai Latte, which is more than just Thai tea ☕️ and latte but they also added pandan inside! The flavour is so rich and I love it a lot! I also tried their matcha milk tea 🧋 which is a little different from their signature Thai tea, and I gotta say, they...

Hainan chicken rice and the other was squid spaghetti taste was really surprising. The sauce is the soul of this Hainan chicken rice, and the taste is amazing. Squid spaghetti looks tasteless, but it makes me surprise. The taste of fragrant leaves, the fragrance of lemon, the slightly spicy, and the rich taste is really unexpected.

Banlan pearl drinks will never be disappointing. Full of Banlan pearls is happy. The smoky and tough taste and faint spotlan fragrance are really delicious! I also try the lychee honey rose tea of detox tea, which is really effective!

The most amazing is the dessert. Thai tea Bingsu is accompanied by a cup of super thick Thai tea sauce, and the taste is doubled by adding Bingsu. The taste of Thai tea Soufflé Pancake is very rich, and the texture is thick, and the caramel on it is crispy...

The curry was amazing but the rice doesn’t taste like Thai rice. Portions are good. The noodles are pretty authentic and you know it’s authentic when the Thai restaurant has the right seasonings for you. My son loved the cocoa latte with pandan bubbles and I loved my black tea. Too bad they ran out of ice cream. We’ll have to try those next time.

To those with sensory issues, the bowls and the utensils don’t match and create A LOT of noise. Very annoying noise if you’re trying to scrape rice off your plate or noodles out of your bowl. The rice came with chopsticks and a spoon which was weird (should’ve...
