Chung Kee Congee — Restaurant in Hong Kong

If you’re looking for hearty, economical meal, this is the place to be. The diner was clean, well-kept, and at a comfortable room temperature. We shared a bowl of boiled congee with sliced beef, turnip cake, and rice noodle rolls, all of which were temperate and fresh. Our first two dishes came first; we waited a little for the congee but we didn’t mind that at all. The congee was soft and fluffy, generously filled with meat and lettuce (add on). The rice rolls were chewy and aromatic. I personally would’ve preferred more turnips in the turnip cake than flour; it was decent regardless. For the prices in this economy, I have to say their portions were quite filling and we were very full and satisfied by the end of it. Would be keen to return and try...
