Worse than frozen dumplings!
Ordered siu lung bao and pan-fried dumplings.
The pan-fried dumplings came first. The skin was thick. You could feel the dough sticked your teeth. The whole plate was so oily (i expected that) and full of weird sesame oil like flavour. The “meat ball” inside the dumpling was like precooked before being wrapped.
Siulungbao (steamed dumplings) came after, we had no idea why all of them were sooo oily as well. Full of strange sesame oil flavour. The smell was terrible. There was no remaining soup inside the dumpling when i bited into that. The same as the pan-fried dumpling, the “meat ball” inside was precooked before being wrapped?

Read moreFood was excellent, although there's a few traditional dishes not served here like spring onion pancake, but what was served was excellent. Reasonable priced and service staff was efficient. Food came very quickly. I particularly like the food aren't greasy at all. Some dishes do need improvements like the shanghai fried thick noodles which lack indepth flavour and the drunken chicken was a bit overcooked so make the wine difficult to penetrate into the flesh. Read moreNot many Shanghai restaurants in the area so not a lot of choices. Food is average or mediocre. Pot stickers and sheng jian bao 生煎包 are not very good. 涼麵 is pretty good but the food is definitely not worth the price. There is a minimum order of10 pot stickers xiaolongbao etc on holidays...
