I’m a big fan of Falcones IFC location, so of course I wanted to check out their new restaurant on the peak to see if it could hold up.
The restaurant is huge with a very spacious main dining room, Hong Kongs most beautiful bathrooms and an outside terrace with about 8 tables. Dining on the terrace, there were a lot of families with their kids and dogs, and people stopping in for a bit after a hike up the peak.
On the food:
Insalata mista: we usually don’t order salad, but felt like having something light after our hike up. This was a great choice! The salad leaves were all perfectly crunchy and fresh, and the sauce clung to the leaves nicely. It seems like such a simple dish, but it was definitely a highlight. spinach polpette: delicious and inventive! The texture was a surprise, I love that the spinach was chopped finely, so you don’t need to worry about having strings of spinach in your teeth. I actually like these better than regular polpette as an appetizer, as the meaty variety can be a bit too filling if you’re dining in a small group. linguine vongole: I love Falcone for the pasta specifically. The consistency always comes out perfect. I sometimes find the sauce on a linguine vongole can be a bit runny, which is annoying since you eat it with a long pasta. But this version has a nice, thick sauce which goes so well with the fresh seafood. booze cake: a spiced Bundt cake soaked in Cointreau, rum and other spirits; served with whipped cream. Definitely a dessert the adults will love! I did see the kids at other tables enjoy the Falcone classics like the maritozzi.
Overall, the menu is a good mix of Falcone classics (gamberi, fagioli pasta) and more seafood forward options (fritto misto, tuna pasta). Highly recommend dropping in here after you brought your out of town guests up the peak tram, or for an afternoon treat after a...
Read moreHave been to Falcone IFC a few times but first time to their branch up the peak. Tried their spinach meatballs, deep-fried seafood for starters. The spinach meatballs were very meaty in the vegetarian sense and their tomato sauce is nice as usual. A very decent alternative for vegetarians. As carnivores, we prefer their normal meatballs, but these vegetarian ones are just as good. For mains, we had their Spinaci e Provola and salsiccia e zucca. Loved the smokiness in the former but the latter was the highlight of the meal. The sweetness of the Japanese pumpkin paired very well with the saltiness of the gorgonzola. It’s a delectable amalgam of the two ingredients.
Their vanilla strawberry gelato and the citrus cake were good to finish off the meal if you fancy something sweet and alcoholic.
Certainly prefer their restaurant layout up the peak to the IFC branch. It’s more spacious. Certain dishes are only available at this branch but would definitely come back for their pumpkin pizza.
Our little pooch also got a little cupcake for his birthday. Will plan our...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our experience at this gem of a pizza place in Hong Kong! If you're craving authentic Italian pizza, this is the spot to visit. We went with the salami pizza, and it did not disappoint perfectly crispy crust, deliciously tangy sauce, and just the right amount of flavorful, high-quality salami. You can tell they really care about the ingredients and the craft of pizza-making.
What made the experience even better was the relaxed and fun atmosphere. The place offers a great selection of drinks to pair with your meal, from craft beers to refreshing cocktails. But it’s not just about the food and drinks there are games like Connect Four and foosball to keep you entertained while you hang out with friends or family. It’s a really fun, laid-back vibe that makes it a great spot to enjoy a night out.
Highly recommend this spot if you're in Hong Kong and looking for a place that serves up authentic pizza with a...
