Green Tea (The Wai) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

A new mall near Tai Wai station is perfect for enjoying a good lunch before heading back home (especially if you have a flight to Bangkok in the evening). Of course, we planned to visit Che Kung Temple before flying out. Along the way, we searched for a good Chinese restaurant and eventually discovered one called Green Tea. The ambiance was lovely, and as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the fragrant aroma of tea.

You order food via QR code, and if you can speak some Mandarin, the staff will offer plenty of menu recommendations.

All the drinks with bear-shaped tea ice cubes were delicious, but personally, I liked the pomegranate drink the most.

Recommended dishes to try:

Claypot glass noodles with shrimp (prepared fresh right in front of you)

Mango foie gras tart

Peking duck

As for the pea pudding shaped like a pagoda – order it for the content, not the taste. 😅

เมนูน้ำที่มีชาก้อนน้ำแข็งรูปน้องหมีอยู่ด้านบนอร่อยทุกตัว แต่ส่วนตัวชอบน้ำทับทิมที่สุด เมนูแนะนำที่ต้องสั่งคือ

First time to Green Tea, and we ordered the Vermicelli wrapped with shrimps. It was good but just a bit oily for me. The pork bun, green vertables, skewed tofu, and longing roasted chicken were pretty standard. Skewed taro with pork was surprisingly yummy. The taro blended in well with the pork. It was nice to go with a bowl of white rice.

🌿 I recently had the pleasure of visiting the newly opened Green Tea Restaurant at The Wai Shopping Mall twice this month. The restaurant is brand new, and everything from the decor to the ambiance is fresh and inviting. Upon entering, you're greeted by the soothing aroma of tea and the sight of waitresses dressed in elegant Han Dynasty attire, playing classical Chinese piano melodies. While the service is quite standard and not particularly emphasized, the overall experience is still delightful.

The cold drinks are a charming highlight, especially the iced tea bear, which is both cute and adorable. 🍹🐻 The shrimp dishes are exceptional, with the fried shrimp hot pot and lobster soup rice standing out as particularly delicious. 🍤🍲 Having sampled most of the menu, we concluded that the pot dishes are especially tasty. However, the menu options are somewhat limited, and we sincerely hope to see new dishes added soon. We will definitely be returning for another visit. 🌟

🌿 我這個月兩次光顧了新開的綠茶餐廳。餐廳全新開張，從裝飾到氛圍都非常新鮮和吸引人。一進門，就能聞到茶香，看到穿著漢朝服飾的服務員彈奏著中國古典鋼琴，氛圍非常迷人。雖然服務比較普通，沒有特別強調，但整體體驗仍然令人愉快。

冷飲非常可愛，特別是冰茶上的熊熊，既可愛又可吃。🍹🐻 蝦類菜餚非常出色，包括炒蝦鍋和龍蝦湯飯。🍤🍲 我們品嚐了大部分菜單，得出的結論是火鍋類特別美味。不過，菜單選擇有點少，我們真誠期待菜單上有新的菜品，並且一定會再次光顧。🌟
