Wow! This place is special. It has lovely, vibrant teas, beautiful tea ware, and great customer service. I got 2 teas (Supreme Phoenix Jasmine and Dragon Pearl Green Tea) as well as a tea pot. Derek, the managing director, is leading his family’s business (which is 84 years old!!) with great care. He asked questions about teas I normally enjoy and was able to identify and share his teas that most fit my flavor profile. When I asked about tea pots (as I didn’t have much experience with them), he gave me a thorough introduction to different styles, while teaching me about how to care and use earthenware tea pots. We were greeted warmly, shown around the small storefront, and invited to sit down to have tea with the owner. He was knowledgable, kind, and made a phenomenal cup of tea. He taught us about tea ceremonies, how to take care of a high quality tea pot, and how to drink the tea. He spent over an hour talking to us about tea, life, and other places to go in the area.
