Super interesting street. I believe it has the oldest banyan tree in Hong Kong on this street, although I'm happy to be corrected. What is certain is that this wall which once used to form part of the cattle yard, now a basketball court, has a long history. The wall itself is constructed using a unique southern Chinese tradition of creating the wall with the banyan tree integrated into it's design to increase strength within the wall. It must work, the wall is still there. Well worth a visit.

The preserved old trees grown along and overhang on the retaining wall along the Street for years. This might be one of the best maintained tree wall because of it’s scale and to such a great extend. Roots that anchored on the surface of the wall which form a beautiful picture when walking along and under the trees. Enjoy this scenic walk along this tranquil site situated in one of the oldest residential area.

I like HK so much for city improvement ideas like this one. Harmony of nature and megapolis. If there weren't these trees, it would be just a boring stone wall. Maybe local "banksy" would paint a graffiti on it. But there is no better artist than nature. A masterpiece that shows how wild nature and concrete megapolis can live in harmony. I liked this place so much.
